I am currently a second year university student studying Sociology in Ulster University, Northern Ireland. I am due to graduate in May 2021. I have been working in a supermarket for four years and I was promoted two years ago to work in the adjoining Post Office. Within the supermarket I was responsible for handling cash, dealing with the public, ensuring customers have a positive experience when shopping with us, handling orders and checking deliveries instore. Within my role as a Post Office Clerk I was responsible for handling large amounts of cash, sending money through Moneygram for customers and dealing with banking issues to name a few. Through my four years within this job I have gained the skills of working in a team to ensure jobs get completed to the highest of satisfaction, I have also developed my skills in dealing with the general public to ensure that their time with us in store is to their satisfaction and to represent my employer in a positive way.
