Syria from July 2006 to Jan 2007

Spent six months on an assignment in Syria during the construction of a sugar plant JV in which I was able to establish internal controls, accounting and filling systems, also managed to hire and train a Syrian accountant to be in charge as I was returning to Cairo after concluding the first year statutory audit.

Belgium from November 2009 to June 2010

I spent eight month working with Cargill Texturizing Solutions working on their new strategy execution to reduce costs and increase the BU profitability, I was in charge of SG&A reduction initiatives part; responsible for following up on the progress toward achieving our target of 25-million-dollar reduction in SG&A for the BU worldwide, two months of this assignment were spent in Cairo and six months were spent in Belgium.
