Notable Projects include:

o Project Leader CI raw material forecast: Led a group of five employees in a CI project designed to increase our efficiency in forecasting raw material needs and reducing working capital. Analyzed current usage and found historical trends in the data to formulate a logical target of on hand raw materials. This project has saved us over $400,000 a year, by reducing our paperboard on hand, decreasing freight costs and outside warehousing costs. Decreased our paperboard on hand from fifty to twenty three days on hand, freeing up space in warehouse and working capital.

o Accounts Receivable Reduction: Reduced accounts receivable collection days by 35% at Ample Industries.

o Rate Based/ELS Project Leader: Worked with several Project Managers from other locations and our internal management team to create one, two and four week rate based run scenarios for our three pound tray family. Created a comparison analysis on economic lot size that was used to more accurately price our finished goods and for our budget forecasting. After it was presented at our annual controller meeting it was requested by other folded carton locations for their internal use and was deemed the best demonstrated practice for analyzing economic lot size. Replicated workbook for other North American facilities.

o Aged/Slow moving inventory tool: Created a multi query tool that combined the previous four quarters of inventory along with their opening balances, to analyze the inventory turnover and isolate obsolete inventory. Formulated fields to flag new items, under one year. Used accounting information to track cost associated with product used disposal costs. Re-created tool for our New Vienna and Batavia locations. Several employees had tried to create this tool over several years and all failed.

o Champion for Morale Boosters: Championed the company’s initiative to increase employee morale. After initial meeting with employees created two separate committees, one for the company newsletter and the other as a donation committee, both of which I was voted in as the head. Our donation committee gave to dozens of organizations, while staying within our strict budget. Championed an initiative to bring E-learning to our office staff under Ample Industries.

o SMS Administrator: In charge of implementing our customized computer based ERP system for tracking inventory, including BOM’s. Instituted SOPs for every role and task used in the system, from creating BOM’s to cycle counting inventory. Wrote all reports and queries used to maintain database accuracy including, cycle counts and recall documentation. Helped create and maintain a multi-table database using SQL. Created reports using Crystal Report Writer. After completion of the project our inventory accuracy was improved by 65% and ensured compliance of AIB, SILICOR and Subway audits. Able to reduce monthly inventory to annual with cycle count program.
