Regional Manager
Ensure monthly turnover is achieved and or exceeded throughout the allocated stores.
Manage and motivate staff in stores to achieve targets to align to calculated budgets.
Provide assistance and feedback to staff and General Managers.
Ensure policies and procedures are being adhered to in stores.
Ensure all promotions are effectively and timeously implemented in stores. This includes markdowns, sales and all other promotions in store level.
Effectively manage and control all Company assets, by reducing stock losses and ensuring asset registers are kept up to date.
Ensure compliance with all HR & IR policies and action any disciplinary issues with assistance from General Manager and HR department.
Ensure all stores are customer friendly in that they provide a safe, clean and neat environment to customers.
Ensure proper management of administration is done such as banking daily, exchanges, inter branch transfers (IBT), in and out book, staff discounts, stock takes, spot checks, searching of staff and customers.
Ensure proper management of staff and resolve all staff related issues.
Ensure stock takes are done according to the stoke take policy and procedure, variances must be checked and signed for by all participating staff and discrepancies must be reported to Head Office.
Do own spot checks when visiting stores.
Visits to allocated stores should be done at least every 10 days to each store.
Check cash up reports, collect and deliver to head office.
Check IBT`s that it has been done correctly and also do IBT`s out.
Capture Ins and outs transactions from book and ensure correctness thereof. Differences in regards to money in the in and out book must be checked to match receipt from customer.
Check that staff purchases have been written in the in and out book, signed by employees with amount of money in order for Regional Manager to ring up sales and to allow discount of 30%.
Distribute payslips and ensure each employee signs on the payslip register. Forward signed registers back to payroll department.
Inform the HR department immediately of any staff movements, absconsions etc. Forward all staff changes to payroll before due date. Forward all overtime, incentives before due date for processing.
Ensure each store has an attendance register that staff needs to sign every day. This needs to be checked during each store visit.
Ensure staff provides sick note when off sick and that the Store Manager has been informed on the first day. Annual leave must be approved first by Regional Manager, provided staff has leave due.
Move stock around to allocated stores. Draw stock form fast selling stores.
Make sure storeroom is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Do monthly report by 17th of each month.
Ensure promotional displays are up to date, price changes and mark downs are done.
Buy monthly groceries for store. Check that no Manager takes money to purchase anything for stores as Regional Manager must do it.
Ensure all slips for any purchases on credit and petrol cards are attached to cash up reports and handed to finance department at Head Office.
Ensure your company vehicle is taken for regular services and inform General Manager thereof.
Do checks on store opening and closing alarm signals.
Ensure correct HR procedures are followed when signing up permanent staff and hiring casual staff.
Ensure all employees in stores are fully aware of NO loans out of the till.
Ensure upload and download of stock system is done daily.
Ensure daily sales figures of all allocated stores are reported at the close of business every day.
