Leading a cross organizational team that is working to remediate servers on SQL 2008 and Windows 2008 in an effort to bring the network to compliance. In addition to this work, coordinating the integration of Xerox’s ServiceNow application with FedEx’s QuickBase application for ticket processing.
Lead an international team for Xerox and Vendor support individuals that performed a Telcom call center network migration. This involved call centers in the US and in Guatemala.
Lead numerous key organization projects involving upgrades and changes to Order Entry and Billing applications. This involved both mainframe and client-server-based applications.

Worked as a IT Project Delivery Project Manager for the XCS IT
Support Group.
I supported projects that applied changes, new functionality, or enhancements
to the Order to Collection data processing system.
Have extensive experience in Customer Data processing including the
creation and running of customer purges to keep databases current.
Have supported a project that deployed the first new order processing
application in 20 years at Xerox.
This was implemented successfully and resulted in a reduction in order
processing time and a reduction in required FTE to support.
Also worked to deploy a new Organization wide Project Management Office
including the creation of the PMO website, creation of templates and tools,
and the definition of processes and procedures.

Manager working in the Business Services Division for Global Crossings at
Frontier Communications in Rochester, New York.
Performed the role of Program Manager for the Athena Project.
The Athena Project worked to reduce the time interval from when a
customer signs for new business to the time they are in traffic with Frontier.
The project team was responsible for working with the systems
organization to implement system solutions as well as working to address
the current process to fine tune and streamline the process to reduce the
interval while application changes were being made.
Oversaw entire process to ensure that project management activities were
supported and completed.

Project Manager for Multiple Projects Impacting the Xerox Headquarters
Equipment Control (HEC) System: Due to the large backlog of change
requests for the HEC system, a dedicated Team was created.
My responsibility was to project manage and coordinate the development
of 3 to 5 projects at the same time.
This included overseeing a Team of 4 programmers as well as performing
programming myself in an effort to meet the dedicated delivery dates.
Created an integrated project plan of the projects to take the best
advantage of the Teams time.
Was responsible for the determination, documentation and the obtaining of
sign-off of all requirements for each project.
Control the risks associated with each project.
Was the primary interface with the customer for all requests.
Worked with the to determine prioritization and provided weekly statuses to
the customer on the progress of the projects.

for EDS on Xerox CSS IM Equipment Systems Year 2000 Remediation
effort.
Extensively using EDS Project Management Methodology for the Y2K
Conversion Project.
Overseeing the activities of a Team of 10 people.
This includes working with both Xerox and the third party vendor Xerox has
engaged to make the coding changes, IMR.
Accountabilities include: Providing project status to EDS & Xerox upper
management, setting guidelines and policy for work group, being the focal
point for all issues, developing and maintaining detailed project plans, full
project management of the conversion of the Equipment Systems, SME for
two of the three systems, detailed risk management, and providing process
capabilities for the support of Xerox and their partnership with IMR to
deliver Year 2000 capable Equipment Systems Applications.
PROJECT MANAGER 10/1996 to 04/1997

for Equipment Systems Projects: coordinate the implementation of a 10/96,
11/96 and 4/97 software release projects for Equipment Systems.
This required overseeing a Team of 5 to 7.
This required the concurrent project management of three separate
releases, each with different implementation dates.

HEC (Headquarter Equipment Control) Rewrite of ECX24: This project
involved the complete rewrite of the main batch processing stream for the
HEC System.
HEC is the primary repository for all financials for the Xerox Equipment
Inventory.
This rewrite made use of the EDS SPELS Methodology.
It resulted in 8 programs being restructured via use of the SPELS tool set,
one of which was a 32,000 line program that was unstructured.
This program is the main processor for HEC.
The use of SPELS resulted in the program size being reduced to 22,000
LOC and being fully structured.
The rewrite of the stream also saw the replacement of all the MARKIV
programs with COBOL programs.
This replacement involved the creation of 13 new programs for the handling
of 19 MARKIV reports.
This project was completed on schedule and within budget.

for the ENCOMPASS System.
ENCOMPASS of Cary, N.C.
was the interface for Xerox to track the global movement of Xerox inventory
that was in transit.
The various Xerox carriers would send EDI data transmissions to
ENCOMPASS which would then place the data on their database for direct
access by Xerox via remote dial in to a front end system maintained by
ENCOMPASS.
The Team I lead was responsible to the research and tracking of issues as
the system was refined.
This required the team researching discrepancies between ENCOMPASS
and the old Xerox tracking system it was to replace, MINT II.
The team was also responsible for the training and roll out of the
application to the various Xerox sites.
My role was to manage the various activities of the project that the team
was working on and to be the primary interface with the customer.

Responsible for leading a team of SE that supported the Xerox Shipping
Solution.
This client/server system handles the movement and order fulfillment of
equipment.
Responsible for team and project management of releases.
Also required the interfacing with numerous outside vendors that provided
supplies and equipment that supported the XSS application, i.e.: Portable
Bar Code Scanners.
Also was responsible for the maintenance and the renewal of various
service contracts that Xerox had with these vendors.

for Equipment Systems - HEC, AECS, EASY.
Responsible for providing leadership, technical consulting, implementation
processes and production support for the Equipment Systems.
This required working with the customers on requests and managing a
Team of 3 SE's for the support of these systems.

on the Xerox Equipment Equity Process, XEEP.
This system support Xerox contracts with customers who finance the
purchase of their equipment through Xerox.
The system maintained the contracts, sent out note minders for payments
and closed out contracts upon completion.
It also interfaced with other equipment systems for equipment tracking,
reporting and reconciliation.
Xerox Corporation 06/1984 to 09/1989
Period covers: Programmer and Senior Programmer on the Xerox Order
Entry Systems - CAPS, EMP and AECS.
Accomplishments here were: CobolOS to Cobol conversions, numerous
system upgrades, rewrites and implementation in a programming support
role.
Worked on the initial implementation of 3 Xerox's major system processors:
CAPS, AECS and EMP.
