I am a Kenyan Citizen and a holder of a Bachelor degree in Commerce Finance and professional

Accountancy in CPA with over two years of professional experience in accounting and finance

roles. My experience has enabled me excel in ensuring proper financial reporting and

accountability. I have also mastered the skill of paying attention to details, proper communication

skills, organizing teams & working in them and proper time management. I am also highly

interested in innovations, inventions and in sharing of interpersonal skills effectively especially in

the todays changing world. I am currently seeking for a position where I can contribute to ensuring

Duties, responsibilities & achievements

Accounts payable management, i.e. Reconciliation of Suppliers statements, booking of

invoices for payment in the accounting system, posting payments to the accounting system,

ageing analysis of the suppliers and allocations in the suppliers accounts.

Accounts Receivable management, ie invoicing of goods, Account reconciliation, ageing

analysis, posting of receipts to the system & allocations to the receivable accounts and

checking payment documents.

Maintenance and reconciliation of the General ledgers

Reconciliation of both local and foreign currency Bank statements; manually and using the

Accounting system.

Preparation of weekly & monthly management & financial reports and presenting them to

the Head of Finance and team for planning purposes.

Preparation of budgets and forecasting- This also involve budget variance analysis

Raising of sales orders to cash customers receiving payment and purchase orders to

suppliers.

Preparation of petty cash vouchers, handling the petty cash and reconciliation.

Preparation of the monthly input and output VAT reports, payroll reports and withholding

tax reports.

Processing of Bills of Materials- to help in monitoring of stock usage and general costing.

Was able to come up with a stock monitoring schedule/ stock tracker.

Achievements

Together with my accounting team, we worked together in a take-over of a sister company

to ensure the process was swift and smooth; ensuring all accounts and transactions were

well accounted for.

Worked with the stores department to ensure a true and fair internal and external stock-

take and audit process. We were able to point out the gaps that exist ed in our system and

finally came up with ways forward to ensure those gaps were filled.

I was able to come up with a daily stock tracker system to ensure stocks are well accounted

for. This has worked for both the accounting and stock/procurement department.
