Electrical Engineer May 2019 – Aug 2019
JMC Heavy Duty Vehicle Co., Ltd – Taiyuan, China
• Developed and maintained automotive electrical systems and solved problems in a timely fashion reported by engineers or customers.
• Planned and performed vehicle tests to efficiently verify the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
(ADAS) performance and robustness.
• Tested and validated the functions of autonomous vehicles (L3), including road tracking, automatic cornering, automatic obstacle avoidance, lane change overtaking.
• Diagnosed the Controller Area Network (CAN) and analyzed the data to accurately identify problems. Research Assistant Aug 2018 – Present
UAB Vehicle and Robotics Engineering Laboratory – Birmingham, AL 1. dSPACE-Based DAQ System for an Electric Traction Control System
• Developed an entire Data Acquisition (DAQ) program for an electric wheel traction system.
• Designed a PID controller in Matlab/Simulink to track and control the wheel’s angular velocity and other movements.
• Imported the designed PID controller module in dSPACE software to achieve real-time control of the wheels traction system.
• Designed and modified different parameters to achieve different motions and tested the performance of entire systems.
2. Engineering Design of an Open-Link Locomotion Module and a Development of a Virtual Vehicle Demonstrator
• Designed an open-link locomotion module, containing a suspension sub-system, steering sub-system, propulsion sub-system, wheel and tire sub-system.
• Built and assembled entire models in SolidWorks for motion simulation.
• Created a virtual demonstrator of the fully electric vehicle with the independent suspension system and the in-wheel motor drive sub-system in Adams.
