Title: Testing procedures of electrical motors at VSP ( M. Tech Internship )
Description: In the modern world of competition, optimum usage of equipment is a necessity. The maintenance people to bring do8wn the down time of equipment thereby minimizing the production loss handle problems in the equipment, minor or major. AC and DC motors reasons for failure, remedies, maintenance, repair and testing of those motors.
Title: Speed control of PMSM using artificial neural networks and SPWM technique (M. Tech Project)
Description: In many industrial applications and electrical vehicle systems Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) are mostly used. The traditional Proportional Integral (PI) controller is used in industry because of its robustness. The performance of the controller declines when the dynamics of the system changes. In order to overcome this problem, Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) based controller used in place of PI controller.

Hence simulation of closed loop speed control of PMSM using PI controller and ANN controller at below and above rated speed under noload and load conditions. Also closed loop speed control of PMSM using PI controller develop in hardware environment. Experimental results on a laboratory prototype are given to verify the simulation results of the PMSM under no load and load conditions.

Description: The centralized and regulated electric utilizes have always been the major source of electric power production and supply. However, the increase in demand for electric power has led to the development of Distributed Generation (DG) which can implement the central power by providing additional capacity to the users. DG employs alternate resources such as micro-turbines, solar photovoltaic system, fuel cells and wind energy system. Fuel cells are known for their reliability, power quality, eco-friendly nature and fuel efficiency.
