Resume:

Aaron F. Lax, Senior Software Engineer

Technical Skills

Security:

I have security experience with Penetration Testing using the tools built in and Downloaded within Kali Linux, nmap, ARPscan, wireshark, Metasploit, as well as some others that are more nefarious against my own servers ONLY ALL of my testing I do not try to get into trouble that is why I recently have configured this 3rd Dedicated Server I maintain to be my penetration testing box, I will put everything to secure it as tightly as possible including an Angular Website, and I will attack it.

Server/Hardware Maintenance:

Microsoft Windows Server 2008-16, Microsoft Active Directory, and Microsoft Azure. Some IIS.

Linux (Debian 9, Kali 2019.2, CentOs, Mint, Ubuntu, RedHat, Fedora) and Windows Server Installation, Administration, and Networking. Which includes and has been done for the last 23 years:

1.Both using Remote/Local installations configuring through Terminal or SSH Terminal with configurations based upon the following model:

a.Using a Crypto Drive Setup in /mnt that upon restart or intrusion, the mounted drives appear to be missing and even if logged in with root after restart with a 48bit key generated in the setup everything is encrypted with RSA256 level encryption [which logging into root in Disabled immediately on all my machines after setup]

2.Configure IRCd for Internal Communication between Administrators, which if Microsoft ever went down would be a easy quick method of Logging all issues, probably actually might be a better solution for Hardware/Security Team Communications as it does log the Communications.

3.Configure drFTPd with TLS 1.2 moved back to TLS 1.1 due a vulnerability in 1.2 that allows an exploit to be used. This is a SFTP connection setup for Users around the world to access and remotely upload and download files

4.Setup of Apache-SSL and mySQL to first upon a file being uploaded via the FTP, a process would run and insert a record into the database, I did not write this process at the time, but I did maintain the server setup. Upon the record being inserted the webpage served through Apache-SSL and the webpage which was able to be accessed only using the IRCd users.db username/password, thus this was strictly a website built for users of the FTP itself to be able to see what and when things were uploaded, by whom, the size, as well as other information like if it is a movie the Rating, this was about 15 years ago all of the website was php and javascript but nothing compared to the power of today’s webpage.

Database Knowledge:

PL/SQL and SQL, Creation/Modification of Triggers, Functions, Packages, Procedures, Indexes, Views, and Table/User Creation within an Oracle Database, and APEX programming knowledge or Microsoft SQL Server, and using tools such as Access, SQL Developer, SQLPlus, TOAD, MS SQL Server Management Tool, AngularJS, and NodeJs.

Programming:

BASH Shell Script, C#, C++, Oracle Forms, Python, VB.NET, Node, Angular JS, and with Java currently ability to read, modify, and update existing code. Other dated languages I have programmed in include Basic, QBasic, VB 6.0 and some COBOL.

Web Development:

AngularJS, ReactJS, NodeJS, Drupal, HTML5, CSS3, PHP, and SQL integration into websites using PHP. I have experience also with website graphics creation using Photoshop, Illustrator, and all Adobe Products.
