HOME SHOPPING NETWORK - OCTOBER 1987 - JULY 1995

Hired in July 1987 as Vice President of Call Center Operations reporting to the President, where I ran Telesales and Customer Service. In my role as VP, I was responsible for an annual budget of $6.2M and directed a staff of 19 directors and managers and over 2000 call center agents in 3 locations. Under my leadership, the call center achieved productivity gains of over 17%, reduced call abandonment rates by 11% and increased sales close rates by over 5%. In 1991 I was promoted to Sr. VP and Chief Operating Officer in charge of all on-air sales operations with an annual budget of $32M including television on-air sales, post production, broadcasts, studio operations, telephone center operations, and customer service. In my role as COO I introduced an analytics program known as Strategic Program Segmentation which determined best products categories to hourly sales segments resulting in annual sales growth from $600M to over $1.1 Billion. Executive VP/Division President

PAXSON COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION (NOW ION TV) - AUGUST 1995 – SEPEMBER 1997 In August 1995 I was recruited by the former Founder and CEO of the Home Shopping Network to head up the development of a new business venture of this 24 television station group reaching over 80 million households. In my role as EVP and Division President, I oversaw the production of short and long form infomercials and Public Service Announcements (PSA’s) while simultaneously developing a new television home shopping venture. As a central part of this activity, I was responsible for the design and development of a new software system capable of serving a high volume, multi-channel sales business. President and CEO

HIGHTOUCH TECHNOLOGIES, INC. – SEPTEMBER 1997 - APRIL 2000 In September of 1997, after departing from Paxson Communications, my team and I started a new enterprise software company, called HighTouch Technologies. Utilizing the beta version of the technology that we developed and subsequently acquired from Paxson Communications, I raised $1.8M in venture capital and built a team of 27 sales executives, software engineers, marketing specialists and support personnel, to commercialize and take our new HighTouch software product to market.
