Project Engineer—Dart Container Corp., Mason, MI 2012 to 2020

Manufacturer of single use food containers

Designed and built an automatic machine that tested foam cup defects. Saved $160 of labor per shift.

Designed and built a carton erecting robot work cell. It tended two packaging machines. Labor savings $144,000 per year.

Engineering Machine Coordinator for specific packaging and hydraulic equipment. Responsibilities included answering troubleshooting questions from production personnel and continuous improvement of equipment.

Initiated an hydraulic pump rebuild program saved Dart an average of $1000 per pump.

Was part of a team that created a PLC program that automatically prevented jams and reduced scrap foam cups. It saved the company at minimum of $30 thirty dollars in material, one-half hour of maintenance labor and lost production time per jam.

Project Engineer for various large and small projects that included revamping production lines, enhancing safety and efficiency of production equipment. Budgets ranged from $5,000 to $300,000.
