Environmental Safety Occupational Health (ESOH) October 2015 – January 3, 2020

Performed monthly inspections of safety equipment in laboratory areas, to ensure safety of all personnel. Review and process HAZMAT (Hazardous Material) online requisition forms to make sure all chemical’s that are being requested have accurate hazard information and correct storage locations that our compatible with other chemical’s in the area.

Managed fuel samples and liquid gas fills in tracking databases of IMMS, EESOH-MIS and Fuels database for RQOEE. This ensures the accurate usage, volume, and hazard’s being tracked in RQOEE.

Managed IAP waste site’s, make sure all user’s RCRA training are up to date, all containers are properly marked and classified for pick up, ensure container tracking log is up to date, preform weekly IAP inspection’s, all with the mission to properly dispose of hazardous waste.

Completed evaluation project of the lubricating oil for 5,000 HP rotating compressors in the base facility. My lubricating oil analysis saved roughly $40,000 for the facility.

Responsible for chemical inventories and maintaining two databases of 13,000 chemicals and SDS (Safety Data Sheets) files for the safety of all researcher’s and their exposure to all hazardous material in the area.

Sensors Center, Research Assistant October 2014 – July 2015

Preformed new techniques of ArcGIS and ENVI that included data collection and image analysis. Worked with spectral data collection and analysis of land use change detection and climatic impacts on irrigation agriculture in the lower Colorado River Basin using remote sensing and GIS techniques.

Worked with hyperspectral data atmospheric correction and crop classification for Palo Verde Irrigation district in the lower Colorado River Basin using ENVI software modules. Preformed ENVI software for hyperspectral data atmospheric correction package FLAASH (Fast Line of Sight Atmospheric Analysis of Spectral Hypercubes). Applied FLAASH atmospheric correction for AVIRIS imagery for Palo Verde Irrigation. Conducted crop classification for AVIRIS imagery for Palo Verde Irrigation District. Conducted crop classification for AVIRIS imagery using ENVI vegetation analysis tools.

Presented research alongside my professor for the Air Force Research Laboratory Minority Leaders Research Collaboration Program.

Purdue University Nextrans Transportation West Lafayette, IN

Internship June 2014 – August 2014

Served as an intern at the Nextrans center (USDOT Region V Regional University Transportation Center). Mapped out vulnerability in water recourse in the Mekong Delta using ArcGIS metadata provided online and by my supervisor. Researched different contaminants in various areas in the southern part of Vietnam using ArcGIS to visualize the certain contaminants in those areas.

Performed simulator driving testing for vulnerability in the software and the psychological human behavior when behind the wheel of a vehicle for different scenarios.

Grant position October 2011 – November 2012

Received training to operate MOVES (Motor Vehicle Emission Simulator) Modeling software.

Collected traffic counts information on Indiana and Michigan from DOT website to input in the MOVES modeling software to map out both states emissions data to obtain the areas of high emission rates in certain areas of these states.
