I have 9 years of diversified hands on experience for the installation, testing and commissioning of Electrical systems and Airfield lighting system. For the last 6 years I have been working at New Islamabad International Airport (IIAP) as an Airfield lighting commissioning Engineer with Siemens Pakistan.

Nowadays I am working as a Site manager at IIAP airport looking after the up gradation works. PROJECTS

1)AIR FIELD LIGHTING SYSTEM OF NEW ISLAMABAD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT PROJECT (1 Billion PKR)

I am associated with the green field project of Islamabad International Airport since 2014 till now. During this tenure we have successfully completed CAT-II airfield lighting along with different Variation Orders (V.O) at IIAP. In 2017, we have successfully up graded the runway from CAT-II to CAT-III. Nowadays we are working for the up gradation works of ALCMS system along with AGLAS system. The details are as below.

(a) UPGRADATION OF AIRFIELD GROUND LIGHTING CONTROL AND MONITORING SYSTEM (ALCMS)

Responsibilities :

Preparation of SDD (System Design Document) in accordance to the requirements of project and as per standard of ICAO(International Civil Aviation Authority)

Proposal and preparation of AGLAS design as per the designer recommendation.

Ordering and procurement of equipments from ADBSG.

Handling the warranty claim issues related to ADBSG.

Review technical submittals based on the project specifications and get approval from the client and consultant.

Designing of new power Distribution boards (DB)

Preparation, submission, reviewal and approval of shop-drawings from the designer and consultant as per project technical specifications.

Managing the project execution activities and provide engineering services to resolve the issues occurred at site in order to complete the work on time.

Define and allocate work packages and tasks to the project execution team.

Prepares inquiries towards subcontractors and suppliers and communicates with them together with all stake holders.

Attend meetings and performs clarifications with customer.

Ensuring the systems and processes operate effectively, efficiently and safely.

Responsible for adherence to all internal procedures of Siemens during the project execution process.

Sometimes also supervising the AFL cable laying activities and transformer housings installations.

(b) UPGRADATION OF AIRFIELD GROUND LIGHTING FROM CAT-II TO CAT-III

Successfully up graded the runway from CAT-II to CAT-III in 2017-2018.

(c) AIRFIELD GROUND LIGHTING CAT-II

Responsibilities:

Review technical submittals based on the project specifications and get approval from the client and consultant.

Preparation, submission, reviewal and approval of shop-drawings from the designer and consultant as per project technical specifications.

Provide support to resolve the issues occurred during project and request assistance from management if other technical specialists needed.

Provide support to project manager for the preparation of technical proposal for the projects as per the requirement of customer.

Able to prioritize work according to relevance and importance to project and management.

Responsible for the preparation of method statement / work instructions as per specification and project requirement.

Coordinate with site team and other sub-contractors regarding on site electrical installation requirements.

Perform the supervision for laying of AFL cables and for the transformer housings installation.

Perform the supervision and did the installation of shallow bases and deep bases.

Proactive communication with the customers, informing them on the status and any results of issues encountered.

Responsibilities related to Testing and Commissioning:

Did the installation, testing and commissioning of ADB SAFEGATE supplied Microprocessor controlled Constant Current Regulator (MCR3).

Perform MCR tap settings, firing conduction angle of thyristors as per the load to minimize MCR losses.

Perform load calculation of AFL lights along with its primary circuit and isolating transformers and recommend MCR for the desired load.

Perform EFD calculation of AFL circuits to check the insulation health of laid primary circuits.

Perform Rectification of cable faults for AFL primary laid cables.

Did the Installation, testing and commissioning of Flasher system and its programming for correct sequence of flashing to guide the plane in low visibility conditions.

Performed the installation and commissioning of Induction loop system including slot cuts, loop sensor etc supplied by ADB SAFEGATE.

Performed the testing and commissioning of AFL lights which include Approach lights, threshold lights, Runway centerline, Taxiway, Runway Edge lights etc.

Performed the installation, testing and commissioning of PAPI lights including its height and Angle setting etc.

Did the installation and commissioning of Apron lights, Apron distribution boards and its control from ATC.

Performed the Installation, testing and Commissioning of Vault Station equipments for AFL lighting system includes MV Panels, distribution transformers, LV panels, Generators, ATS panels, DC supply system, Industrial UPS, Marshalling panels etc.

Conduct site acceptance test (SAT) and hand over the systems / devices to the customer.

Provides professional, technical customer service support on site, over the phone, email etc., to troubleshoot, diagnose and assist airfield personnel and contractors to find solutions to resolve the problem.

Performed supervision for installation and commissioning of Siemens Fire Alarm and suppression system.

2)COMPLETE RE-ELECTRIFICATION AND AUTOMATION OF KOHAT TUNNEL (1.8 KM)

Successfully completed the Electrification and Automation of Kohat Tunnel Project(1.8 km long) as a Site engineer from January 2012 to December 2013.Fully engaged in Erection, Execution, Testing and Commissioning of sub-station equipments,LT Panels, MCC Panels,PLC Panels etc and other works which are as follows:

Responsibilities :

Responsible for the Installation and commissioning of sub-stations equipments includes HT panels, distribution transformer, LT panels etc.

Perform Installation and Commissioning of PLC panels and SCADA system for the Automation of the Tunnel including Automation of Sub-Stations, Ventilation system, lighting system etc using Siemens PLC S7-400 and S7-300 controller.

Perform Installation and commissioning of Sick AG VICO meters to measure the visibility and carbon monoxide concentration inside the tunnel and on the feedback of these sensors the ventilation system operates automatically using PLC.

Perform Installation and commissioning of Sick AG ASM (Air Speed Meter) meter also known as Anemometer to measure the direction of air and speed inside the tunnel and on the feedback of Anemometer the jet fans operates accordingly for the ventilation of tunnel..

Responsible for Installation and commissioning of Siemens CCTV system which includes media convertors (Fiber Optic to Co-axial & vice versa), DVRS (Digital Video Recorders) at Kohat Tunnel.

Did Supervision for the Installation and commissioning of PABX system using Siemens Hipath 3550 exchange at the Tunnel.

Perform supervision for the Installation and commissioning of IP based NORPHONICS phone inside the telephone booths at Tunnel.

Perform supervision for the Laying of Fiber Optic and Control Cables.

3)Up-gradation of Step 5 to Step 7 FECTO Cement Stacker using SIEMENS PLC S7-300 and for HMI (Human Machine Interface) used WinCC flexible 2008.

4)Up-gradation of Step 5 to Step 7 FECTO Cement Crusher using SIEMENS PLC S7-300 and for HMI (Human Machine Interface) used KTP-600.

5)Automation of HLP-180 (Hand Latch Packet) machine from Relay logic to PLC using S7-300 controller at Khyber Tobacco Company.
