Sales Audit is the online application that the sales audit clerks in Boise use to balance the account information that is transmitted from the stores on a daily basis.

Retail Reporting system allows the store to take an efficient & accurate inventory, Reduce the amount of time necessary for inventories & eliminate most of the paperwork involved in an inventory. This system also produces business critical reports for the senior management to review and take business decisions.

Contributions:

Automated the weekly Sales Tasks to find the missing store sales files.

Contributions:

There were 407 numbers of stored procedures from different applications which needs the functional change from ‘External’ to “Native’. This change was business and time critical as it involved the different application and communication with different vendors and should be completed by Jan 2015. There were no code changes but huge testing effort was required. I started this project in September 2014 and completed it by mid-December 2014 without any single issue. Client appreciated my effort, efficiency & accuracy, which helped to get 8000 hours of work in a single project for year 2015 and lot more is expected.

Statistical Reporting System

GEICO, abbreviated for Government Employees Insurance COmpany, founded in 1936 and headquartered in Chevy Chase, MD, is third-largest private passenger auto insurer in the United States with assets over $28 billion.

Statistical Reporting System produces informational reports for GEICO’s regional offices and Legal & Regulatory reports for the state regulatory agencies, facilities and other Insurance bureaus like NAII and ISO.

Contributions:

I joined GEICO in March 2013 at Maryland USA for Texas Detail Modification Project. Coding and Unit testing for this project was already completed and I was supposed to perform the Integration testing with other team members. I find out multiple bugs in the code changes and proposed the fix and implemented the proposed fix.

I also proposed and implemented the ICETOOL Utility in the existing JCL’s which helped to reduce the efforts from 300 hours to just 80 hours for another project. NTT Data Management at GEICO appreciated my work and applied for my L1B Visa Extension and H1B Visa, along with providing two increments in a year and Bonus.

Mercury Marine, USA Oct 2012 – Mar 2013

Global Trade Compliance

Mercury Marine is the world's leading manufacturer of marine propulsion systems. Its head quarter is in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.

Global Trade Compliance is the system used by Mercury to store and track classification data. Classification data includes HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) Codes, a 10-digit field used to identify products that are shipped internationally and the rate of duty that will be assessed upon importation to the United States. The scope of this project was to redesign of HTS code storage logic to allow unlimited storage of HTS codes as Mercury can store up to 700 unique HTS Codes before this project. As Mercury Marine develops new products and refines its current classification database, so the need for HTS codes was growing. A new data source needed to be developed to allow for an infinite number of HTS codes to be stored.

Contributions:

I joined Mercury Marine in Oct 2012 at Fond du lac, Wisconsin, USA for Global Trade Compliance Project. There were 110 programs needs to be modified and 10 new COBOL/IMS programs needs to be developed. This project was estimated for 9 months by Client business analyst but we have completed it within 5.5 months. I find out bugs in the existing production programs and fixed the bugs. NTT Data Management and Client appreciated my work and I received a pay increment and monetary incentives.

Mainframe Movement from Raleigh to Richmond Mar 2011 – Jul 2011

This project was to move the mainframe from Raleigh to Richmond location as current mainframe in Raleigh was bigger in size and lease to rent out for current location in Raleigh was about to over. We were expected to put hold on all the jobs which were expected to run over the Independence Day long weekend and restart the jobs once mainframe is up and running in new location as Richmond.

This project was to reduce the travel and other expenses made by Territory Sales Manager, Unit Managers in less densely populated areas of Altria sale region of West America. Altria set up a call centre from where TSM and UM used to call the retail owners to let them know about new contracts or promotions Altria is offering as it was expensive to physically visit each retail store.

Sales Legacy is one of the most important modules of Philip Morris. This module takes care of all small enhancements to the Field Sales Invoicing system of Altria which can include building a new functionality or enhancing an existing functionality.

Contributions:

I worked four years in Altria and learned technical and functional knowledge of system quickly which helped me to gain the onsite opportunity of 14 months. I proposed and implemented the west call center project which was very cost effective for client. My other notable contributions were in Mainframe movement, SalesEDGE1 and mainframe elimination project. NTT Data Management and Client appreciated my work and I received two promotions, 4 pay increments, twice onsite opportunity, outstanding contribution award and several incentives.

Claims System A claim starts with a negotiated agreement between an Albertsons vendor and the sales & marketing department of Albertsons. The time frame or life cycle of the claim is based on dating agreed between Albertsons and vendors. The claim can contain one or more products and can be exercised by one or many stores. The claim is then entered manually via an online screen.

Accounts Receivable (AR) is the amount of money that company has to get from Vendor but not get yet. Account Receivable (AR) System keeps track of this type of accounting information. AR system maintains an outstanding AR balance for individual claims within the appropriate sub system.

Contributions:

Gathered knowledge from SME’s and provided KT to seniors who joined project after me.
