TURNER SPORTS, Atlanta, GA July 2013 – November 2019

Senior Writer / Producer - Creative Services Sports Unit (CSSU) / Eleague

Developed marketing strategies, ad sales reels, upfront presentations and promotional, social media and

image campaigns for both CSSU, the traditional creative services division, and Eleague, the eSports creative services division. Was the only senior creative staff writer / producer involved with both divisions.

As the Senior Writer / Producer, responsibilities included mentoring many of the creative members

of our staff within both the CSSU and Eleague Creative Services departments.

Key producer in development of strategic positioning for the PGA Championship Ad Sales campaign, which was instrumental in driving increased ad sales revenue year over year for six straight years.

Successfully developed the marketing launch campaign for Eleague, a joint venture between Turner Sports and WME/IMG that has become the #1 competitive eSports franchise in North America.

Developed the promotional campaign for Eleague’s first ever CSGO Major eSports competition, which became the first Twitch live stream of a CSGO Major to ever garner over one million online viewers.

Wrote and produced half hour and one hour shows for many of Eleague’s eSports competitions.

Produced and directed the highly rated NBAtv documentary, “Kevin Garnett: The All-Star Interview.”

Produced the one hour “March Madness Confidential” special, which aired on CBS.

Winner of two Emmy awards and three Tempest awards.

WAHOO! CREATIVE, Atlanta, GA May 2005 – June 2013

Executive Creative Director of Marketing and Creative Services

Founded and launched a promotional ad agency, where the focus was on developing, writing, producing and directing marketing and promotional campaigns for cable networks. These network campaigns ranged from

movie to image to children’s programming.

Established a client list that included The Walt Disney Company, Turner Broadcasting System, TV Guide

Channel, The Weather Channel, Gospel Music Channel as well as several Fortune 500 companies.

Created 48 promotional campaigns for Toon Disney, Disney XD and Disney Junior, including the highest rated daytime movie campaign in the history of Toon Disney.

Conceived, wrote and produced two original animated PSA campaigns for The Walt Disney Company.

Each campaign consisted of six :30 fully animated spots. Viewer response was so positive that Disney created an entire on-line environment featuring both campaigns at Disney.com.

Developed and executed end-to-end marketing strategies, such as the month-long environment-friendly campaign for Toon Disney in 2008, which included developing strategic vision, production planning and the supervision of a team of 15 production personnel across two continents. Resulted in year over year ratings increase for the entire month in which the campaign ran.

CARTOON NETWORK, Atlanta, GA July 1998 – May 2005

Created, wrote and produced the critically acclaimed and top rated weekly series, “ToonHeads.”

This episodic show aired on Cartoon Network from 1998 through 2004 and is still one of the

highest rated shows in the history of the network.

Wrote, produced and directed five Cartoon Network documentaries on the history of animation.

“The Lost Cartoons” documentary was included on the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes, Vol. #1 DVD set.

Key involvement in the marketing and promotional strategy for the premiere launch campaigns

of two new cable networks: Boomerang in 2000 and TCM – Latin America in 2004.

Winner of the 2004 Promax Silver award for the animated movie campaign, “CN Factory.”

CLASSIC SPORTS NETWORK, New York, NY July 1995 – June 1998

Supervised a department of twelve writers, producers and graphic designers.

Developed the original marketing and promotional strategies for the network launch campaign.

Supervised an innovative guerilla marketing campaign that increased viewership by 127% in

the first year of operation.

Developed key brand strategy and market positioning for the network’s ad sales promotions,

sizzle reels, upfront presentations and on-air promotional campaigns.

Collaborated on promotional and marketing strategies with all six of the major professional

sports leagues: NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, PGA and MSL.

Classic Sports Network became so successful that the network was eventually acquired by ESPN.

The network was rebranded as ESPN Classic.

Winner of the 1996 Promax Gold award for cable network campaign.

TURNER NETWORK TELEVISION, Atlanta, GA April 1990 – July 1995

Developed the promotional campaigns for five seasons of both the NBA on TNT and the NFL on TNT.

Developed the promotional campaigns for the 1990 World Cup and the 1992 & 1994 Winter Olympics.

Line Producer of the one hour TNT documentary, “Operation TNT.”

Key member of the team involved in the premiere launch campaign of Cartoon Network.

Winner of the 1995 Promax Gold award for cable network movie campaign, “TNT Saturday Nitro.”
