Michael Vigil MD MSc

I am an MD MSc whose practice currently includes Primary Care, Urgent Care, Integrative Medicine and collaborative translational biomedical research. I am well trained, highly experienced and capable with Pediatric to Geriatric medicine. I have no malpractice or disciplinary issues, and am clean with the federal data bank. I attended 3 years of a General Surgery Residency after medical school, departing only because of family illness with excellent academic and clinical standing and recommendations. I am currently board certified by the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine and board eligible with the American Board of Medical Specialty in Preventive Medicine. I am an ethical, hard-working physician, and have had the advantage of working with excellent mentors and colleagues in surgery, general and family practice and tropical medicine. I am experienced and competent with both primary care and tertiary care settings, both in and outpatient, and maintain current provider certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support with DOT certification in progress. I have served as the medical director of two urgent care clinics, instituting new approaches to delivering both excellent and practically accessible medical care through in-service teaching and recruitment of necessary medical personnel. I consider professional staff relations to be crucial to the best quality of medical care. I have worked in various capacities as a medical volunteer physician worldwide for over 20 years and also during times of crisis ranging from an Ebola outbreak in East Africa to dysentery outbreaks in Lima, Peru. I maintain current medical licensure in good standing in HI, AZ, WA, AK, and NM. I have also serve as Ship’s Physician for cruise ships and maritime vessels and hold both a current Coast Guard Mariner’s Certificate and Transportation Worker Identification Credential.

I have been in continuous medical practice since my graduation from medical school and residency training and am available for opportunities beginning March 2020 and ongoing.
