Provides front-line customer service to the By-Law Department and the Reception of the Clerk's

Department (main lobby of Municipal Building)

Responds to all departmental queries received

Provides clerical support to the By-law Manager and the By-law Division and the Clerk's Department

Processes parking payments and prepares Notice of

Conviction (NICS) and Plate Denial (CRC)

Paperless filing/Scanning

Calculates and administers the collection of parking and other related By-law Office service fees

Provides information respecting Township of King

regulatory by-laws, i.e. parking, animal responsibility ownership, property standards

Administrative Clerk –Reception/Console Operator

Main principal duty to service the Township of King residents and clients at the front line with the most excellent of customer service

Operation of a multiline telephone console total of 94 buttons (all extensions memorized)

Booking of appointments for the Deputy Clerk and

Town Clerk and Manager of Legislative Services, and other staff for commissioning purposes

Booking of meeting rooms using the outlook Calendar Directing incoming calls from Member of Council,

Staff and the taxpayers, ratepayers, and the public accordingly

Provides information and direction to the public

visiting the Municipal Office

Assists the Administrative Clerks of the Engineering and Public Works; Planning Building Department,

Bylaw inquiries and Finance Department with

information for the public according to that

department

Opening of mail accordingly for the Township of King Placing all incoming mail and date stamped mail in appropriate staff mail slots

Responsible for all incoming and outgoing courier

deliveries, and ensures staff is aware of their

deliveries

Enters all courier deliveries on a spread sheet

Contacts courier company for pickup of packages for staff and records accordingly in the courier book

Delivers all mail to the staff person/persons

Provides clerical support to the other Administrative Clerk's in the Clerk's Department

All filing for the Clerk’s department using OCR system and Database
