Dear Human Resources Manager,
Please accept my cover letter and resume in application for Accounting Clerk position as posted on the Post Job Free website. As a reliable and professional individual with various experience and education I would be an excellent candidate for consideration. I am a student at Commonwealth College who completed the Business Accounting program. Through the Business Accounting program at Commonwealth College, I have learned how to use QuickBooks, Full Cycle Accounting, Managerial Accounting, MS Office Applications, Office Procedures and Organizational Behavior during work, and Business Communication. As for QuickBooks specifically, I know how to create invoices and estimates, record payments in accounts payable and receivable, record weekly timesheets for estimates, record payroll, and print reports with specifications. I have an understanding of taxes and tax exemptions. Prior to attending Commonwealth College, I completed intermediate MS Office training through Opportunities for Employment (OFE). I am proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and Electronic Mail. In my previous office experience, I entered data into filling system for records. This information helped the agency keep track of their clients and their donors. I was allowed access to personal information, which I always kept confidential. I would make outbound calls for donations and referrals with polite manners and good communication. I have written proposals for activities and lectures. I have also planned co-curricular activities for students such as lesson plan, field trips, guest speakers and tours back. I have great knowledge of QuickBooks, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook programs. Other job duties I have performed include creating invitations, mailing parcels. Lastly, I have also taken sample courses at Red Rivers College such as Business Communication 1 & 2, Financial Accounting 1 & 2, and E-Commerce. In financial accounting 2, I had the opportunity to use Sage Simply Accounting, learn how to do common shares, fixed assets, depreciation, liquidation, and cash flow. Presently I am working at Save on Foods (Bridgewater) where my supervisors will tell you my customer service skills are exemplary. I have also done inventory count to record items that are back- stock using the POS system. Operated the switchboard and dealt with customers on the phone at times. In addition, I have also done facing the store and stock new products onto the shelves. I look forward to learning more about careers with your company and hope to hear from you in the near future. I’m available to work as soon as possible and at anytime. I may be contacted at any time by phone 204-***-**** or email email@example.com or if you have any concerns please feel free to ask. I thank you in advance for taking the time to review and consider my application.
