The internship provided an insight into an industrial environment along with the knowledge on the operation of machines, power distribution system and manufacturing processes involved in the production of fertilizers and chemicals.

The internship provided an opportunity to familiarize with the control aspects of feeders, relays and various other operating machines and their significance in power system protection.

Internship with the Load dispatch center helped to familiarize with the integrated operation of power system in Kerala.

PROJECTS

● Project: Multi Level Static Convertor Team Size: 4 Duration: 6 Months Output Level For our Lab Application

The power electronic circuit has been developed that converts AC supply to DC supply which has a load bearing capacity of 5KW. The device has a provision for taking output as 220V DC and 110V DC by using a DC Chopper circuit. The alternative was implemented in the Electrical measurement’s lab of the college.

● Project: Home Security System Team Size: 4 Duration: 2 Months Output Level For our Lab Application

Developed an automated home security system combined with Burglary alarm system and gas leakage detection system.

● Project: Solar Hand Dryer Team Size: 6 Duration: 5 Months

Developed a Hand dryer which is powered by solar energy. The device can change its position on the basis of incident solar radiation to facilitate faster charging.
