Revamped manufacturing lines by rebuilding 1960 machinery with 2009 technology, an investment of $ 750,000, resolving multiple waste issues and achieving a cost savings greater than $ 500,000. Significantly reduced the waste of foil and foil paper laminates by improving the splicing process.
Managed the operation to performance levels exceeding planned 2009 EBITDA. Excluding non-budgeted raw material increases exceeded planned EBITDA by 75%/ $ 2,000,000.
Championed the implementation of Kaizen / Lean Manufacturing work methods and implemented Six Sigma problem solving to attack and correct material variances and losses.
