Job Description and Responsibilities:
Provides an Optimal care for patient before and after same day surgery guided by the standards.
Ensure the emotional and physical readiness of the patient prior operations. Provide a compassionate care to patient and significant others in order to alleviate their anxiety.
Administer pre-operative medications.
Ensure that correct site marking was done to the right patient for the right procedure. Accompany and endorse the patient to the Operating Room. Monitor the patient’s risk of ant complications post-operatively. Administer post -surgery medications, monitor vitals signs, change dressing and follow patient’s progress.
Participates in providing palliative care to the patient. Administer blood and blood products as needed.
