*Responsibilities: Individual and group counseling. Overall running of daily operations of P.A.A.C.A. Adult services. Providing safe and secure environment for all staff and clients. Complete assessments and treatment planning for housing program, case manage assigned caseload, with weekly check ins and supervised urine screens, as well as keeping track of all clients appointments and/or court dates. Oversee housing program which include scattered apartments for approximately 30 housing clients, also maintaining records of monies paid and monies owed.
*Attend alternative schools to work with at risk youth, providing mentorship, as well as building curriculum for living skills for high risk gang affiliated youth. Create short term goals with students, goals that are 100% obtainable. Create pre and post progress notes to show improvements in attendance and behavior. (SCHOOLS THAT WERE A PART OF THIS PARTICULAR PROGRAM WERE “WESTSIDE HIGH” & “WHALING CITY”)
*Responsible for new pilot program (SOURCE RE ENTRY). Pick up newly released inmates, transport them to area sober house’s and/or halfway house’s. Work with individuals to establish bond and trust. Mentor these men to assist in job search, housing, and post secondary education. Create 5 point plan key issues that individuals must attempt to meet. Meet monthly with all mentees to have veterans SOURCE members speak with newly entering members to establish that the process works.
*Responsible for creating STREET OUTREACH through NEW BEDFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE INTER CHURCH COUNCIL. Basic responsibilities include going to drug infested area to provide supportive services for those individuals suffering from alcoholism, drug addiction, and homelessness. Provide safe transportation to area detoxification centers, after completion of assessment. Encourage further treatment (HALFWAY HOUSE) make appointment for interviews at area house’s and provide the transportation along with donated items that client may need during long stay to graduation. Celebrate achievements by clients with attending graduations as well as providing supportive family members transportation when needed.
*Responsible for reaching out to area businesses and churches for donations of clothing and/or furniture. Screening potential housing clients for donated furniture as well as food and clothing when needed.
(S.S.Y.I.) RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURING PLACEMENT OF GANG/COURT INVOLVED YOUTH FOR WORK PROGRAM AND WRAP AROUND SERVICES INVOLVING CASE MANAGEMENT AND/OR LIVING SKILLS CURRICULUM. *Responsible for supervision of 25 40 female clients who were sectioned by district court judges for treatment of substance abuse and/or alcoholism. Assist clients in daily groups and day to day operation of detox unit. Responsible for hourly counts of clients and to enforce all rules and regulations of program. Responsibilities include observation of all clients, keeping a log of clients behaviors weather appropriate or inappropriate. Maintain a professional attitude at all times, create a clear understanding of all boundaries for all female clients. Keeping nursing staff updated on any mental health issues that may arise. Document all happenings throughout shift, create safe and secure environment for all clients and staff. Attend all monthly staff meetings.

Shadow students for 1 year after completing YOUTHBUILD, to ensure progress and to continue positive relationship with students also to continue to mentor student long after leaving program.
