Airscale Project

(Chicago market work) Migration of T-Mobile cellular towers to 5g. Programming Airscale equipment to their standards. Also help in maintenance work on other sites with issues of this migration.

PBX, pots lines, data cabling, etc

Contracted role to repair pots lines, pbx systems, TV cabling & installing.

AT&T (Nokia) (4/2018 to 10/2018)

Airscale Project

Install, migrations of AT&T BBU equipment at cell sites to Nokia’s Airscale equipment. Programing, commissioning of Airscale equipment. Working with AT&T RITC group, also with NEA group. I have a Nokia PID.

Detail in complete CO inventory data base. Worked on 1st CO in California.

Interconnect Engineer

Order circuits through AT&T ASR web page, along with Frontier (Legacy Verizon) ASR web page for the Chicago-Milwaukee markets. From T-1 level to Gig-E circuits. Edit and enter these into Granite XNG software. Also work with Granite Worx and Siterra. This involves building segments & paths within the tool.

Working with RF Engineering on cell site activity as well.

Additionally, assist in RF Engineering in core network growth of DS-1’s into the Huawei BSC’s.

Work with migration team using SQL to load into Granite XNG.

Nextel-Sprint – Direct Hire Livonia Michigan (10/1998-3/2008)

I held 3 positions here.

Interconnect Analyst

Lead subject matter expert on DAC functionality. Designed all DS3 ports and assigned all cross connections in Titan 5500 and 532 L machine and Alcatel 1630 and 1631 in the Detroit area MSOs.

This in conjunction with project managing the ordering and turn up of these facilities with fellow operations in the market. Including circuit designing. Dwdm, optical bandwidth. OC-48, OC-192.

Design Engineer

MetaSolv Engineer Lead designer and resident expert for all circuits of DS3 and above capacity for the Detroit Market. Created drawings for these circuit designs. I was responsible for lead project management of implementing the TBS M6 software for the Telco group. Effectively collaborated with other groups and NHQ to provide layouts and updated reference sheets for the SS7 circuits in the market.

Equipment Engineer

Responsible to review and approve installation Methods of Procedures (MOPS) and project manage installation vendors to ensure projects were completed according to corporate policies within specified timeframes for Michigan and Ohio Mobile Switch Offices (MSO). Participated in annual 18-month strategic planning. Audited equipment and collaborated with National Headquarters (NHQ) to create projects to clean up previous installations that were found to be of poor quality to enhance network quality and reliability.
