Technical support for sales teams in the Americas and World-Wide which in title working with customer’s technical requirements. Product manager for a team of eight engineers and designers for customizing wedge bonder semiconductor products for 30+ customers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Asia, Europe, Africa and South America.

Provided wedge bonder technical sales support for customers representing $10M annual sales in the Americas. Interfaced with customers to determine solutions to their technical needs.

Quoted over $8M a year in equipment customization to meet customer needs.

Trained 12-person global ball bonder sales staff on how to sell wedge bonders and identify the difference in product lines.

Developed the cylinder battery market for K&S, resulting in sales of $10M annually. Created wire bonding process technical content for market differentiation presentations.

Americas Wedge Bonder Sales Manager (2009 – 2014)

Technical sales manager in United States for major accounts Tesla, Delphi, Ford, General Motors, International Rectifier, Texas Instruments, Lockheed Martian, and ON Semiconductor during the transition from Orthodyne Electronics to Kulicke and Soffa. Conducted customer sales meeting. Responsible for setting sales strategic direction through entire sales cycle.

Sold ball bonders in the western United States and wedge bonders in all of the Americas.

At that time closed largest one-time sale, at that of large wire bonders, $8M, to Tesla Motors in 2013.

Was global account manager for International Rectifier resulting in $3M+ sales annually and honored with 2013 Vendor of the Year.

Developed process for using ultrasonic large wire bond as the preferred interconnections for attaching cylinder batteries to its packs which allowed for process automation and streamlined production.

Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturer - Wedge Wire Bonders. $125M, 325 employees. Acquired by K&S, 2008.

Western Regional Sales Manager (1993 – 2009)

Technical sales manager for key accounts in the western United States and Mexico. New accounts manager responsible for developing customers in the automotive and semiconductor industries. Collaborated with customer and company engineers to enhance the life of the wire bonder product model.

Key member of management team which grew Orthodyne Electronics from a company with annual sales of $30M to over $125M annually and 75 to 325 employees. Market share increased 90%.

Established the Tesla Motors company account and provided technical and design assistance in the development of using wire bonding to manufacture their battery packs.

Assisted in development of the wedge large wire bonder in becoming the number one wedge bonder in the world and achieving highest rate ever from VLSI Research.

Developed wire bonding technologies in manufacturing in medical devices of pacemakers and defibrillators creating a $10M ($2M a year) market for wire bonders.

Wrote wire bonders ISO 9000 certification tests for medical device customers in the pacemaker industry.
