Key Deliverables

Maintain compliance with the safety-assurance plan so that work is accomplished in an environmentally sound manner using safe work practices;

Conduct safety observations and conversations (SOCs) to help achieve a zero-incident culture;

Lead the “authorization to proceed” process for contractors;

Participate in engineering package reviews during the select, define and execute phases of projects and provide constructive input to the design team;

Encourage construction and operations personnel to review design packages early in the course of projects to eliminate rework and optimize construction;

Anticipate and resolve problems encountered in the field to eliminate costly rework or retesting;

Ensure work is performed per plans and specifications via coordination with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Functional Checkout (FCO) groups;

Coordinate with clients to ensure proposed construction and work methods are clearly understood and accepted and ensure agreement on environmental and safety work plans for permitting;

In central Doha, the Metro will be underground, whilst at the outskirts it will mainly be at ground level or elevated.

ALYSJ JV is a Joint Venture between Aktor, L&T, Yapi Merkezi, STFA and Al Jabber, appointed by the Qatar Rail Corporation to Design & Build the Doha Metro GOLDLINE also known as QIRP DESIGN & BUILD PACKAGE 3 - GOLDLINE UNDERGROUND.

Subway Excavation and structural work execution

All kind of Architectural finishing work execution in the station

Attending Progress review meeting with project Manager in weekly Basis.

Coach & guide subordinates in performance of their works

Problems identifying proactively, they cause work stoppage or delay.

Discussing the critical activities with the concerned engineers and finding the appropriate solution

CUT AND COVER METHOD:

The methodology of the cut & cover is simple in terms of conception. At first, the trench is excavated and its slopes are appropriately retained – as to the Metro works, the slopes are always vertical. Then, the permanent bearing structure of the station or the tunnel “is built”, starting from the foundation upwards, i.e. as this is the case for an ordinary structure. Finally, the structure is backfilled up to the surface of the soil and the area is reinstated.
