DESIGN CONSULTANT ( JUNE 2018 - PRESENT)

FREE LANCE DESIGNER

Project 1 - Conceptually designed 22 flat with restricted budget. Differentiated the flats with a unique concept of images placed into the interiors concept.

Project 2 – Developed range for young adults. Designs have been created on the basis of forecast and trends combined. This also included the customer preferences and competition brands.

Project 3 – Designed a range of men’s T-shirts for the consulting firm Balance designs and consulting firm. Well accepted and agreeable range developed to suit the office going customers.

Project 4 – Children’s wear range designed for the US market. Designs included a small 5 pieces garments to be put into production and displayed in the US as well as Indian stores.

LANDMARK GROUP (INDIA) ( June 2015 – November 2017)

SENIOR MANAGER - DESIGN – KID BOYS

•Responsible for handling an entire season process, that includes managing team of 4 amateur designers, coordinating with buying, planning, marketing and HR department.

•Initiating season with sample procurement from pre decided markets (international & domestic) keeping in mind the trend forecasted and must haves for the season. Segregation of samples, trends, new products and fits through all product categories under MAX boys department.

•In depth study of colours from market, trends (WGSN) and previous season good sellers followed by finalising colours, graphics & prints with team as well as the buyer’s team.

•Comprehensive study of fabrics, prints & trims from trends, bench mark brands, samples, vendor samples. Combining them into the season requirements and ensuring appealing garment aesthetics.

•Coordination with the Buying team for finalisation of seasons categories that include pre decided samples, references, colours, fabrics, techniques, trims and fits.

•Providing team with furnished material to progress into the season. Piloting team through range building, tech pack making, approvals on colours/ graphics / fabrics/ prints of all seasons.

•Strictly complying with the time lines to adhere to hand over dates. Initiate important tasks beforehand to acquire more time for team to complete the same.

•Generating marketing ideas with manager to ensure relativity to other categories. Compiling styling ideas with the outfit decided to ensure sync with the theme.

•Correspond to VM requirements and comply with their promotion ideas.

•Ensuring on time deliverables for all responsibilities.

•Studying market requirements in detail to capitalize on potential product offering to the customers. Incorporating opt product line to ensure category growth.

•Meticulously reviewing previous season sell through of styles, colours, graphics, prints, techniques, trims to ensure scrupulous repetition of the same into oncoming seasons. Completely Bypass underperforming products.

•Honouring all trainings provided by the HR department to enhance areas of improvements for self as well as team.

Major Accomplishments: -

•2-8 boys’ category performance moved up by 2% starting summer 2016. (First season handled)

•Category 2-8 Boys performance increased consistently leading to excellent STR and response from customers which directly enhanced performance of the kidswear at MAX, moving contribution from 24% to 27%

GO GO INTERNATIONAL PVT. LTD. ( Sept 2014 – November 2014)

SENIOR MANAGER - DESIGN - YOUTHWEAR

•Developed the design strategy for the brand ( YOUNG ADULTS – BOYS & GIRLS)

•Finalized colours, fabrics trends, styles and prints to generate the right mix of product offerings

•Developed fabrics with the in-house factory.

•Conceptualized and ideated promising product range for the category.

•Processes include Integration of trend forecast & presentation emphasising the inclination of the INFANTS fashion industry.

•Quarterly visits to International market to acquire representative pieces and new developments for in house implementation.

•Reinforce references from markets, vendors & developed new designs into collections and process the same in conjunction with the buyers.

•Modify and integrate new features in samples creatively matching the aesthetic of the customers.

•Development of detailed technical packs to proceed into production. Upload techpacks into SAP systems.

•Consistent follow up on fabric, colour & design approvals, providing prompt & precise approvals to recoup accurate aesthetics for each and every style. Providing clear cut information to vendors to minimise revisits of approvals.

•Ideated and launched extensive photo shoot ideas for Infants category in the process creating awareness amongst New born parents in coordination with the marketing team. Providing precise styling and accessorising details for every season.

•Methodical delegation & distribution of work amongst junior designers to accelerate tasks in the process imparting knowledge to the them.

•Envisaged & developed new product categories, season after season to grasp Infants category to capitalize the niche market.
