My Duties included:
● Create and update patient’s health insurance information in the computer
● Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state, local and federal regulations
● Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain payment for prescription claims
● At point of sale, verify that customer receives the correct prescription(s)
● Complete weekly distribution center, medication order, place order on shelves, order all CII, CIII, CIV, CV and verify all associated paperwork.
● Assist the pharmacist with filling and labeling prescriptions
● Prepare the pharmacy inventory and receive drugs
● Data entry on all levels
● Prepackage bulk medications
● Assist and supervise other technicians
● Maintain knowledge of loss prevention techniques
● Compounding large -volume IV mixtures
● Packaging and preparing drugs being used in clinical investigations
● Take refills, call doctors and assist customers
● Control and audit narcotics / stock substance
● Prepare inventory, order and receive drugs
● Prepare Nursing home prescriptions
