1. FOI: Legacy American Airlines and Legacy US Airways used two very different set of crew (Pilot and FA) management systems and applications. Also, the labor contracts between the company and the crew unions were different for both the airlines. After the merger, it required integrating the Flight Attendants of both the airlines under a single agreement and operating under a single crew management system. Having one system of record provided the company with operational foundation and flexibility to better serve the needs of AA’s internal and external clients. Pilots, Flight Attendants, Crew Schedulers, and Dispatchers etc. will all have access to more accurate information in a timely manner and can thus make better decisions. My role was to focus on delivering the IT work required for systems like CATS, FOS and AOS PBS in support of the Flight Attendant (FA) Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement (JCBA) for Full Operational Integration (FOI). This project involved multiple system integration between various systems such as FOS, CATS, ETB, PBS, VMS, CCS, FH, and ROTA etc. and affected multiple business units such as Labor, Flight Service, Crew Schedule, Payroll, Crew Compensation, Manpower Planning etc.
