Skill set
•Analysis tools -, Ansys Workbench, Hypermesh, Nastran Patran.
• General software’s - Microsoft office and Microsoft Excel.
•Design and Development of aerospace components.
•Coordinating and guiding students final projects.
Work Experience
1.Assistant Professor
Organization: MVJ College of Engineering
Department: Mechanical Engineering
Designation:Asst. Prof
Duration: (Sep 2016 – Present)
Subjects Handled: FEM, Fracture Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials, Metrology, Design of Machine Elements I and II, ANSYS Lab.
Key Projects / Hands on Systems:
Guided project on “Design and Simulation of HAZMAT Truck Impact Safety System using ANSYS”.
Guided project on “ AStudy on the Crack Stopper for Enhanced Damage Tolerance Evaluation of a Fuselage Stiffened Panel”.
Guided project on “ Table Come Bed”.
Guided project on “ Design and Fabrication of VFM”.
2.Project Trainee:
Organization: National Aerospace Laboratory.
Department: STTD (Structures)
Duration: Aug 2015 to July 2016
Tool Used: MSC Nastran Patran
.
Responsibilities:
•Performing design change studies to optimize the design
•Modal analysis to evaluate Natural frequencies and Mode shapes of the system.
•Performing component failure analysis study, Low Cycle fatigue (LCF) calculations using SN curve.
•Validation and detailed design report and stress reports for review.
3.Evaluation of Damage tolerance evaluation of a crack stopper in a fuselage stiffened panel.
•Finite element model is generated in ANSYS & NASTRAN for stiffened panel.
•Linear static analysis to obtain the critical location for crack initiation in the stiffened panel.
•SIF variations with the progressive crack lengths are calculated and plotted.
•An L and Z Shaped stiffeners are introduced to make the structure damage tolerant.
•The Fatigue life estimation from the SIF variations using MATLAB coding.
Results:-Main purpose of the analysis is to find the critical stress location, crack growth in transverse direction & remaining residual life.
