Worked as research Associate (1985-87) at Kaufert Laboratory of Forest Products College of Forestry University of Minnesota, Minneapolis /St Paul MN, USA, when worked chemistry of lignin and biotransformation and synthesis of lignin model compounds with Prof Simo Sarkanen.

Research interests are identity, quality and stability of drug and drugs-development by chemical and biochemical transformation of molecules for cancer screening, identification and mode of action of anticancer compounds like taxol, camptothecin, combretastins and podophyllotoxins. Dealing with the preparation, characterization, development and evaluation of bioactive molecules with in-depth knowledge of fundamental chemistry.

Has developed and transferred numbers processes to various chemical and pharmaceutical industries and has completed numbers of R&D projects sponsored by industries and government funding agencies such as DBT, DST, DRDO and ISM&H since 1977.

Headed two Indo-German projects on Chemistry and Biology Interface “Bioprospecting of Endophytic Microorganism for Anticancer Molecules” and three collaborative projects with DRDO (INMAS) for the development of Radio protective Molecules and Potential of Cold Desert Medicinal plants in Am chi Medicine with Field Research Laboratory LEH under Solider at High Altitude Program.

Traveled, worked and visited numbers of International Research institute and Universities in USA UK Germany, France, Holland, Brussels, Sweden and other European countries, UAE, Dubai, Ethiopia and West Africa for collaborative R&D project.

Presently teaching Biochemistry as Associate Professor to Medical students in Chintpurini Medical College & Hospital Pathankot since September 2012 till date and taught 5 years in Biochemistry at ASCOM&H (Batra Medical College Jammu) November to March 2012 and as visiting Prof in Department of BIOCHEMISTRY Jammu University, Jammu since August 2007. Superannuated as CSIR Director-grade- Scientist-G in July 2007 after serving CSIR for 30 years (1977-2007) at Indian Institute Integrative Medicines (IIIM) Jammu.

More than 150 research papers has been published in journals of national and International repute brought out by American chemical Society, Springer Elsevier in Germany, Japan and UK as author, co-author and Co-inventor of 30 patents world over. Contributed 10 scientific reviews and chapters in books published and edited by International and National publishing Houses.

Number of National and international sponsored Collaborative R&D projects with Industrial houses and research organizations like DBT, DST, DRDO, ISM&H and DLR/BMF&B Germany have been carried out when more than 15 technical reports were transferred to Industrial houses for transfer of technology and scientific know-how.

Attended more than 70 National and International conference/symposia/seminars in USA, Germany UK and Sweden and chaired sessions.

Also, visited national institutes of chemical educational in Holland Belgium France Ethiopia and Ghana (S.A)
