Having almost three years of experience as a Community Outreach Worker in a program called SchoolsPlus, being a graduate of the Social Services program at NSCC Burridge Campus and currently enrolled (online studies) in a Combined Honors Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Policing at Wilfrid Laurier University, I am currently seeking challenging employment in my field of work in the Fredericton area.

I have acquired great knowledge and developed skills in regards to the Code of Ethics, diversity, inclusion, critical thinking, professionalism, ethical decision-making, leadership skills, policies and procedures, trauma informed, confidentiality and many more. I can provide a current and clean Criminal Background and Vulnerable Sector Check as required as well as willing to undergo a Prior Contact Check with Social Development. My work experience has enabled me to develop strong intake and assessment skills, action plan development and implementation as well as supporting youth and families in accessing a variety of community resources including physical health, mental health and justice. I also have experience working with youth in a post-secondary setting.

Having demonstrated the ability to act in order to minimize risks and maximize client’s participation and inclusion in the community, I am also well aware of my limitations and always refer complex situations to more experienced and trained resources when appropriate. I am fully bilingual (English and French) with strong communication skills, including verbal and written, as well as outstanding listening and observation skills. In addition, I am professional, resourceful, reliable, thorough, determined, patient, a team player, and have a great work ethic.
