Academic Project

CFD analysis of a De Laval nozzle:

To achieve good performance characteristics with minimum energy losses a

nozzle must satisfy all the design requirements at all operating

conditions. The process focuses on the design of De laval nozzle which is

used to produce propulsive thrust for rockets by expanding combustion

gases. Design is modified by varying angle of divergence. Other parameters

such as inlet pressure, inlet temperature and angle of convergence are kept

constant. Design and simulation work is carried in Ansys 16.0 .
