Responsibilities:
Detail design and failure analysis of components.
Preparing 3D model with respect to drawings as per client requirements and importing the model to Analysis tool for pre processing and post processing.
Assigning material properties, thickness of the material,contact algorithm(E.g. :-RBE2,RBE3,beam,welding (shell) element or glue contact) and selecting analysis type depend upon manners of the components.
Assigning material properties and meshing the model with hexagonal elements focusing on critical areas with structured mesh. Mesh quality checks such as aspect ratio. Warpage, Skew, Jacobian etc, are performed.
For varying load, Preparing loading chart and loading equations with respect to forces.
Checking of model such as, Geometry check, Free-free run, Equilibrium, Model analysis for finding natural frequency check is performed.
Outputs such as stress, displacements and frequencies are compared with manual calculations or with Allowable standard values and reports by comparing the outputs from FEA package with manual calculations.

Cross over pipe Assembly of steam turbine,In the Outer Casing Pipe acting as a Tie bar and restrains the bellows from stretching out. Sheet Thickness of the Cross Over Pipe optimized as per customer required. From customer requirement used FOS 4 for Lifting lugs and optimized.
2.Design and Analysis of Single Bellows Expansion Joints(6 months)

Description:
Single Bellows Expansion Joints is operates under positive and hydro static . The strength and failure criteria of the bellow, tie bar & pipe was established and described. Bellow FEA values are cross ensured by EJMA calculation
3.Design and Analysis of Tied lateral Expansion Joints(6 months)

Description:
Tied lateral Expansion joint is installed in an Air cooled condenser raiser steam duct is operates under positive and full vacuum . The strength of the tie bar was established and described.
