Position : QA/QC Engineer (Civil & Building)

Civil& Building work activities covers in my area of responsibilities are: Earthworks, road works, fresh and harden concrete tests, fabrication, construction and erection of Pre-cast concretes, concrete pipe racks, equipment foundations, collecting pits, manholes, catch basins, ditches, tanks, asphalt and concrete paving, miscellaneous supports, sewer & drainage system and painting of structures (Concrete surface only) below the ground level and above the ground level, fire proofing, steel structural works and all kinds of building works like shelters and substations structural and architectural finishing works etc works.

Responsible for all of QA / QC Civil and architectural related activities

Check and review the plans & specifications for the proper construction & quality implementation at job site,

Perform pre-inspection to ensure that all installed materials are within the standard in conformance to applicable drawings & specs.

Conduct final inspection with owner’s representative prior to proceed concrete pouring and other succeeding work activities that requires step by step inspection as per inspection and testing procedures (ITP).

Inspecting steel structures (padding elevation, column plumpness, member verification, bolt tightening, member elevation, etc.)

Inspecting fireproofing works for steel structures and equipments.

Responsible for the acceptance and rejection of scheduled RFIs, attending joint inspection with the client representatives

Render monitoring and surveillance on site to control the quality of work being implemented by the construction group.

Civil& Building work activities covers in my area of responsibilities are:

I was overall responsible in a designated area for checking and monitoring of on-going activities of civil works by Subcontractor to make sure that all the activities are according to approved method statements and ITP.

I was responsible to raise RFI’s for the inspections time to time.

I inspected the activities like Formwork, Rebar work, Concrete Pouring, Concrete curing & Treatment with Consultant.

I was also making random visits to site to co-ordinate with engineering team and guiding them about the approved procedures according to going on activities.

Supervision of foundation for pre-cast building structure, pre-cast boundary wall.

Follow up inspection process such as Sub-grade compaction, Pre- pour & Concrete placement inspection, Concrete coating, Backfilling.

Monitor and verify that the work execution and implementation are as per approved procedures, approved specifications and approved drawings.

Witnessing of grouting of equipment foundations, structures, tank forms and pumps.

Witnessing of concrete pouring for all kind of structures.

Supervising construction of every works such as earthwork excavation including masonry work of construction, raft foundation works, spread footings, grillage foundation, RCC works etc.

Inspecting form work of RCC work, steel structural work and making the arrangements to the requirements.
