Projects ranged from $1MM to $20 MM: start-ups included selection of architectural firms; preparing feasibility studies; establishing implementation plan; preparing schematic documents; preparing capital request authorizations; scheduling weekly meetings with clients, architects, and contractors.
Projects involved budget tracking and management, plan development, acquisition of permits, demolition of interior shell of building, and building reconstruction. Site work included roads, light standards, and landscaping, all construction requirements, concrete, framing, drywall, plumbing, electrical, interior finish and job walk-throughs with inspectors. Assisted company in acquisition of new accounts/project – Cal State Poly, telecom project, 6-8 MM range.
Managed all phases of $1.2 MM project: building interior demolition, concrete work, electrical, integrated telecommunications systems, computer network systems, and intrusion systems. Completed eight building interiors and new geology lab/ bio life science lab. Site work included roads, street light, and landscaping.
Responsible for entire project while working with architect on design; sent out RFIs and daily reports; conducted project site meetings and job site walk through with DSA inspector, architect, and school superintendent.
Implementation Project Manager
Supervised various projects dealing with microwave facility, telecommunications switch sites; performed presale site surveys, path analyses, and customer services. Managed installation of towers for microwave communication; used computer programs to align and connect sites; demolished and retrofitted old and new buildings to add new switch sites for World Com and Excel communication companies throughout the U.S.
Oversaw all phases of site/shell work, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and installation of new telecommunication switches.
