Skills

Electronic troubleshooting using multimeters, megameters (insulation testing), oscilloscopes, signal generators, microscopes and any specially designed equipment for the task at hand.

Wiring and soldering using low temperature, high temperature and silver solder on hook up wire, Teflon coated wire and APTZ wire. Mostly through hole and some surface mount.

Mechanical testing of small electrical motors, sun and planetary gearboxes, linkages, caliper arms and pistons.

Used signal generators, bench power supplies and specially made test racks.

Electrical safety observed when working on truck and system power circuits. Also, when working on radiation detection high voltage circuitry as well as charge holding components such as capacitors and piezo-electric crystals.

Worked on electronic and electro-mechanical equipment related to radiation detection, resistivity, porosity and pipe integrity.

Attended many classes related to testing, maintaining and repairing all of the equipment I was responsible for. This included disassembly, assembly and soldering both low and high temperature circuits.

Taught several classes dealing with maintenance and repair of wireline and memory well logging instruments.

Trained technicians at their various districts around the country.
