Project Title : MECHANICAL CHARACTERISATION OF GLASS FIBER REINFORCED WITH STEEL POWDER.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT :

A specimen is fabricated which consist of 6 layers of glass fiber using hand layup process by adding epoxy resins.2nd specimen is fabricated with 6 layers of glass fiber and steel powder is sprayed between the layers .Both the specimens undergoes mechanical testings like tensile test, flexural test and impact test using ASTM standards.

Project Title : SPROCKET DEVELOPMENT USING NX CAD AND CAE BY REVERSE

ENGINEERING

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT :

A Sprocket is manufactured using all the steps in reverse engineering which includes measuring the dimensions of the product, selection of better material, designing and drafting, manufacturing process, Heat treatment and coatings e.t.c.

A Sprocket model is developed using NX CAD and the same is analysed with CAE, then using CNC machine the sprocket is produced. In this project duplex steel is used for manufacturing the sprocket and PVD zinc coatings are applied after work hardening. Durability, strength, hardness and wear resistance are increased for the sprocket.

B.Tech project

Project Area : CNC MACHINES

Project Title : “ FABRICATION OF CNC MACHINE”

Project Role : Team leader and helped to fabricate cnc milling machine.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

Fabrication of CNC machine which has 3 dimensional motion i.ein x, y and z axis is done by using geared dc motors, pic micro controller and other components . This can be widely used in many applications like engraving of designs on small components and accuracy which matters most.

By replacing the different tools in the tool holder, this can be used for cutting operations, soldering operations and drilling operations also. These kind of milling machines are ideal for small scale industries as they are cost-effective.
