TRAINING AND INDUSTRIAL VISIT
In plant training in Haldia Petrochemicals Limited (Duration - 1 month in 3rd year of B.Tech.) Got an overview of chemical plants and safety precautions used in such plants. Learnt about various types of pumps, heat exchangers and other important parts along with the process flow used in HDPE section of the plant.
Training and Project in Electrosteel Castings Limited (Duration - 20 Days in 3rd year of B.Tech.) Learnt about industrial applications of maintenance calculations and its necessity in industry, DI pipe production process etc.
Vocational Training in NTPC, Talcher (Duration - 1 month in 2nd year of B.Tech.) Learnt about Power plant process, Rankine cycle and various equipment used etc. Also submitted a project report on Cooling Tower.
PROJECT
Related to the fire hazard in Oxygen supply line from Air Separation Plant to a Steel plant.
Frictional heat generation in ball valve due to sudden opening /Closing (transient) is checked for different frictional coefficient and rotational velocity (By ABAQUS Explicit)
Fire due to charged particle accumulation and turbulent dispersion before the filter assembly (placed before Steel Melting Shop) has been justified in this work (By Solid Works, ANSYS Fluent and EDEM). Weldment Design of a Bailey Bridge
B. Tech. Final year project (Under the guidance of Dr. P. P. Dey; IIEST, Shibpur) (June 2015 - April 2016)
Practical exposure of Bailey bridge and its fabrication – From Bridge & Roof Co. (Ind) Ltd.
Weldment design and its optimization for stress calculation – For finding optimised Factor of Safety.
Solid Works and MATLAB are specially used.

Presented and submitted a paper titled “Mitigating probability of fire in a high pressure oxygen system by appropriate design of divergent pipe leading to particle filter” at IIR conference held at Prague (Czech Republic) from 7th to 11th April 2019
