I had worked in Rashtriya ispat nigam limited-Visakhapatnam steel plant as Graduate executive trainee apprentice.

WORK EXPOSURE:

Responsible for cold, warm & hot start-up and safe shut down of the Unit.

Handling rotary equipment’s i.e. pumps, compressors, Induced, Forced Draft fans, Bowl roller mills ect,

To maintain the rated parameters of Boiler, Turbine & Generator and their auxiliaries.

To handle emergencies of BTG side.

Giving Logic modification suggestions to shift in charge if required.

Maintaining proper log sheets & Raising of corrective jobs notifications in SAP(if observed).

To issue PTW with proper isolation, safety and ensuring zero accident in plant.

Carrying out daily operational activities (DC drives trial, equipment changeover schedule, soot blowing etc).

To Reduce Specific DM water and specific oil consumption.

Reduce Axillary power consumption.

Good knowledge about field activities during Start-up & shut down of Steam Turbine and its Auxiliaries like HP BFP’s, LPBFP’s, CEP’s, Vacuum system, Cooling water system including cooling Tower.

Monitoring of Steam Turbine parameters like pressures and temperatures, etc.,

Checklist filling before start-up of STG.

Balance of Plant:

Plant instrument air system start-up, operation and isolations and Continuous monitoring of Instrument air pressure.

Fire water pump house operation, isolations and availability checks.

Heating ventilation and Air conditioning (HVAC) systems operation in the plant including compressor, condenser, Air handling unit, cooling tower and cooling water circulating pumps.
