Fluor, in a Joint Venture with Technip, Fluor Technip Integrated (FTI), was selected as the Managing Contractor by Sasol Chemicals (USA) LLC to manage the provision of
engineering, procurement and construction management for a 1500 kTA ethane cracker and five derivative units (LDPE, LLDPE, EO/MEG, Guerbet, Ziegler, ETO). The new facility will be referred to as the Lake Charles Chemicals Project (LCCP). The LCCP facility expansion will contain a combination of Greenfield and Brownfield units. The ethane cracker, ethylene oxide (EO)/mono-ethylene glycol (MEG), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) units are planned for Greenfield areas. The remaining derivative units, Ziegler, ethyoxylates (ETO), and the Guerbet unit, will be extensions of current operations and, as such, will be developed near existing units within the Lake Charles Chemicals Complex (LCCC). LCCP will include all utilities, off site, and infrastructure (UO&I) facilities that support the LCCP process units.
