Having been actively involved in the Distribution and Logistics Fields for the past 32 years; all of which with three different companies. There have been several Goals, Achievements and Accomplishments reached.
Over the past 12 years within a management position, some of these accomplishments have been Reducing and Adjusting Labor Costs, Reducing Transport Costs; as well as improving Department Indexes and also being responsible for Monthly and Quarterly Reports and PowerPoint Presentations. In the Distribution and Logistics Fields there are many obstacles and goals that need to be addressed and accomplished in order to reach Company Standards and Achievements.

Dollar Tree, Joliet IL. 03/23/16-08/21/19 Department Manager
In my time as L1Manager for Dollar Tree I have been asked to learn all aspects of the building to include running four different departments(Receiving,Equipment,Shipping,Order Selection) I have also been called on to run the building when the Operations Manager is absent. I have been able to not only learn the different departments but also to be able to run them effectively and make improvements in each one. Hold accountable in those departments in order to reach the standards of the D.C.
Sears Holding Corp, Manteno, IL 11/17/14-3/23/16
Responsibilities included working in the Kmart DC in the department that is responsible for making sure all the freight coming in the DC is put away in the warehouse in its proper location using a WMS system. Training a group of employee’s to use the WMS system that is on the reach trucks they use for put away of the freight. As a department manager I also have reports that I have been responsible for on a daily basis. Everything we do is by metrics when it comes to our reporting and also to ensure our employee’s reach a RE of 100% in performance.

Responsibilities included supervision of employees in within the department, making sure that jobs were being properly performed. Training new employees to properly pick pack and ship internal and external customer orders efficiently and on time. Also, did the scheduling for employees within the department as to our production schedule. Setup and scheduled transport runs with a third party logistics company.

Logistics Manager/Operations Manager
Responsibilities included- overseeing a workforce of 75 employees, adjusting man power during low volume periods, dispatching transport runs, tracking of all equipment in and out of the plant, department hours, service to sales, coordinating with garage to make sure DOT regulations were being followed. Handling of daily, monthly & Quarterly reports as well as PowerPoint Presentations. Lastly, ensuring that all company policies were being followed and handling of any disciplinary action within the department.

Asst. Logistics Manager
Assisted the Logistics Manager with all department operations. Handled all the dispatching for transportation, responsible for the scheduling and planning of all man power for the transportation and distribution departments. There were several other responsibilities required such as daily and monthly reports, on time departures, trailer utilization, tracking equipment (incoming and outgoing). Lastly, was in charge of the Safety Program within our department to ensure that all employees were given the proper safety training.
