GMI ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE, (Now "Kettering University"), 1700 W. Third Ave., Flint, MI 48504-4898, (05/84 - 12/93) TITLE: AUTOCAD AND COMPUTER INSTRUCTOR, DUTIES: Developed and taught Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced AutoCAD seminars for working professionals, mostly in the field of engineering. Received, through Autodesk, Inc. awards in 1986, 1988, 1990 and 1991 for Outstanding Instruction and Outstanding Curriculum. AutoLISP, 3D and AutoSHADE were included. Taught three consecutive annual AutoCAD seminars in Detroit, Michigan for the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Also assisted in the selection and installation of the computers, software and other peripherals. Duties also included troubleshooting, consulting and public speaking. During my last year at GMI, I was an AUTOCAD SYSTEMS ANALYST / NOVELL NETWORK MANAGER at GMI's Computer Center.

GM POWERTRAIN GROUP, General Motors Corporation, Flint Engine Plant, G-3248 Van Slyke Rd., Flint, MI 48552, (5/94 - 11/94, contract) TITLE: CAD DRAFTER / I.E. LAYOUT, DUTIES: Measured and revised over 110,000 sq. ft. of office and shop floor plan views. Plotted and combined AutoCAD drawings for the I.E. 1/16" scale layout table. Helped facilitate office changes and reallocations. Designed and installed a custom menu. Taught engineers and other personnel about AutoCAD techniques and plotting. Other software such as MicroSoft Windows, Exel, Word and Power Point were required for this position. Helped troubleshoot software problems and assisted other departments with computer problems.

CITY OF ROCHESTER HILLS, Engineering Services, Department of Public Services, 1000 Rochester Dr., Rochester Hills, MI 48309 (11/97 - 08/98, contract) TITLE: CIVIL ENGINEERING DRAFTER (CAD, GIS) DUTIES: Created the water main drawings for the city (36 sections) using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Map rel. 14 for insertion into ArcView's GIS ver. 3.0a (Geographical Information System) computer as a shape file. The information will be used by a city database to store and recall details such as pipe diameter, material, length, year built, closest gatewell and hydrant. I also worked with the GIS to input all the retention/detention ponds throughout the entire city. Helped create a brochure on Grinder Pump Systems which replace septic systems (3D drawing was required for this project).

TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERS, INC. 1172 S. M-13, Lennon, MI 48449 (03/99 -09/28/99) TITLE: TELECOMMUNICATIONS DRAFTER (CAD) DUTIES: Responsible for all cad operations in the telecommunication. Using AutoCAD 14, and Windows 95, I helped created street maps from simple line drawings. Making road maps of cities and then placing cabling for telephone, optical and coaxial strands and designs. Helped with the designs and placements of components on the drawings. (Similar to Civil Engineering prints). Required a basic knowledge of Power Supplies, Trunk Amps, Converters, Splitters, taps, line extenders, line drops to various homes and businesses. Other types of drawings were created in this job.

FLINT SURVEYING AND ENGINEERING COMPANY, 5370 Miller Rd., Suite 13, Swartz Creek, MI 48473-1536 (11/94 - 7/95) TITLE: CIVIL ENGINEERING DRAFTER, DUTIES: Working with legal descriptions, Creating and revising drawings that are related to the field of surveying and civil engineering. Learning new design concepts and establishing standard types of drawings. This includes parcel(s) of land that are surveyed by field crews' electronic equipment which are then downloaded as point data into Civil Engineering software programs. From this information, I was allowed to create many different civil engineering drawings. I have also worked with the surveying crews on many occasions. I revised drawings related to the field of Surveying and Civil Engineering. Learned new design techniques with AutoCAD Rel. 13 and established some new information and more experience with Windows 95. I created commercial and residential site plans, drainage plans, cover sheets. Introduction to Plan and Profile Drawings.

SPECTRO-CHEMICAL RESEARCH LABORATORIES, 4800 West 34th, Suite A-12 Houston, Texas 77092, (11/81 - 5/82) TITLE: LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, DUTIES: Operated a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Obtained photomicrograph anomalies of chemical catalysts and other materials while also capturing their respective x-ray spectrum line chart graphics for a computer display for elemental analysis. Worked with vacuums to gold plate sample stubs for the SEM. Handled and transferred liquid Nitrogen. Assisted chemist with Mass Spectroscopy and helped prepared soils for x-ray and electron scattering experiments.
