LA METRO, Los Angeles, CA 2018 – Present (Contract)

Sr Consultant System Engineer SCADA PLC Developer

Redesigned LA Metro’s Emergency Evacuation System (automatic control), 28 scenarios of each three underground train stations (Fans, Boosters, & Dampers).

•While each station has redundancy, built a generic algorithm to handle 28 scenarios dynamically & integrate with existing code base. During the redesign reduced 1k++ line of codes to 300 for the app ease of use and developer code management.

•Created and delivered documentation of each scenario with algorithm work for maintenance and possible future scale when necessary. Made app spec. code changes to HMI buttons of Emergency Manual Control (Fans, Boosters & Dampers).

•Designed and Developed VMware ecosystem, an isolated lab of pre-production test, salvaging existing resources and making it possible to establish end goal of redesigning scenario app & viable customer requirement.

Founded a connected car platform for the automotive service provider.

•Strategically designed and programmed initial mobile test bench using ladder logic black box method and web/hmi. The experiment was to understand end user use case and build user stories. Later logic was converted into a mobile app algorithm for iOS and Web app.

•Lead design and programming apps of industrial robotics of the assembly line automation with Allen Bradley ControlLogix 5000, FactoryTalk View HMI + integration Wonderware.

•Developed an effective Control System Architecture with the collaboration of the project team, successfully integrating Allen Bradley PLC and HMIs for ten operator stations, modifying existing ladder logic code base, diagnosing previous code base, designing and implementing new lines of code of three axis motion control systems 10X.
