Senior Manager Supply Chain (Automotive)– Farmington Hills, MI (2/2015 – 1/2018)
Was responsible for manufacturing planning, inventory management, Corporate packaging, and transportation for six plants in the United States and Mexico. Initially on special assignment in Alabaster, AL until September, 2016 to eliminate 4 consecutive years of over $2 million of inventory losses annually. Identified the problem and established processes and controls for inventory management to assure the problem did not reoccur. Managed a department of five associates with 6 additional plant Supply Chain managers with a dotted line relationship.
Plant Manager (Building Products division) – Jacksonville FL and Quakertown, PA 7/2013 – January 2015
Full responsibility for P&L. Managed the operations of residential and architectural window fabrication plants. These plants had tempering, lamination, cutting and insulating processes. Accountable for all cost, quality, safety, and business performance. Improving quality and productivity through introducing control plans, establishing key metrics, team building and visual work instructions.
04/2008 – 03/2012 Supply Chain Vice President - Zeledyne, LLC
Zeledyne is a “carve out” company created from the former glass division of Ford Motor Company. (A $700 million company). Key member of the senior leadership team in the operational development of the company from the ground up. Implemented a new ERP/WMS system (QAD) for the company at its inception. Negotiated all supply and service agreements for the new company. Contracted with third party service providers for transportation management, customs oversight and freight payment in order to reduce costs by over 15% and reduce headcount. Administered and managed budgets totaling $350 million.

09/2005 – 04/2008 Director of Sales, Inventory and Operations (Carlite) – Automotive Components Holdings - Dearborn, Michigan
Carlite is the aftermarket glass business for Ford Motor Company responsible for servicing the 5000 Ford Motor Company dealers and providing glass to the greater wholesale glass market. Led the North American sales team, customer service group, materials management group, pricing group and business development group. Responsible for the operations of a 500,000 square foot distribution center, with $24 million of inventory. Managed an employee population of 50 people (5 direct and 45 indirectly). Accountable for over $100 million of revenue. Reduced operational costs and streamlined operations to increase the PBT from $5 million in 2004 and 2005, to $15.2 million in 2007. 05/2003 – 09/2005 Plant Manager – Visteon Corporation Juarez City, Chihuahua, Mexico
Full responsibility for P&L. Managed the operations of a glass fabrication plant with an employee population of over 500 people and 300,000 square feet, with three different manufacturing processes that operated on three shifts. Accountable for all cost, quality and safety, and business metrics. Increased profits from $2 million in 2002 to $12 million in 2004 by implementing manufacturing disciplines (TPM, OEE, FTT), scrap reductions, right sized the employee population and inventory control. As a result of having zero defects in 2004, the plant received the Gold Award from Ford’s Lincoln brand.
01/1999 – 05/2003 Division Supply Manager – Visteon Glass Division, Dearborn, Michigan
Responsible for all purchasing, manufacturing planning and supplier quality within the Glass Division. Reduced costs 5% annually by strategically partnering with suppliers and securing long term agreements. Total savings in the first three years were over $10 million on a basis of $80 million. Responsible for managing a $35 million Transportation budget for the Division. Responsible for managing the inventory of over $80 million.
10/1997 - 01/1999 Materials Planning & Logistics Manager - Visteon Exterior Division, Ford Motor Company Dearborn, Michigan
The Exterior Division of Ford was comprised of plants that produced lighting, bumpers, windshield wiper/washer systems. Responsible for global inventory management, customer support and supplier management with material managers located in Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, England, Mexico and the United States. Materials management lead on a due diligence team to purchase a facility in Poland.
05/1995 – 10/1997 Supply Manager – Ford Motor Company, Sao Paulo, Brazil
One of a five-person team assigned to build a new plant in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Imported and installed the equipment, established processes to supply Ford’s new product in Brazil. Selected and hired the purchasing/supplier, quality/customs and material procurement teams. The focused goal of the team was to source the imported parts with Brazilian suppliers, while successfully sourcing over 75% of the value before the end of the assignment. Key lead player in the establishment of a robust and critical process for importing equipment.
