Currently acting in a roles as Service Delivery and Project Manager, in the course of over 20 years Koen has specialised in managing SAP accounts and has been directly involved in the implementation of numerous full SAP project lifecycles, 3 of which were large international rollouts, as well as supporting numerous other SAP based projects. Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Sales and Distribution, Project System, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Document Management, Variant Configuration, EDI and ERS.

The project also included the implementation in parallel of a Web Portal serving the customer base, as well as a Vendor Portal.

DSM Active Ingredients Aug 2006–Jul 2008

DSM Active Ingredients operates in the pharmaceutical industry and as such managed in a validated environment. The project was a sizeable implementation with rollouts to various countries in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Koen was responsible for managing the implementation and alignment of business processes in the logistics area for the DSM Active Ingredients business unit. Including:

Koen performed various projects in the Logistics area (GMP/FDA validated). A large variety of different business groups/systems were included, which covers the chemical and food industries. Covering third party online access for tollers, MRP and detailed scheduling

Koen was a consultant for SAP Belgium working for a client based in Belgium and UK. The project being a PP implementation in the flooring industry, the work covering the total spectrum of activities related to a new implementation from blue-printing through to go-live.

DSM Aug 2003-Mar 2004

At DSM, Koen performed project activities and resolution of post go-live problems in the PP / PP-PI and QM area. A large number of different business groups/systems were included, which covered chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries. Some of the more unique subjects on this project included the process manufacturing cockpit, FDA (pharmaceutical) issues and PI interfacing to a process control system (MES). The work ranged from configuration, testing, validation, process remodeling, integration problems to training and problem solving.

Koen consulted for various clients, such as; Forbo. This included aiding the client in continuous improvement and configuration tasks, some pre-sales scoping work, addressing of various post go-live problems in the PP and PP-PI area such as configuration issues, some business remodeling, shop floor integration and training.

Deloitte Consulting Feb 2002-Jan 2003

Koen was a Consultant at Orion Pharma Finland for their SAP 4.6c IS Pharmaceutical implementation. He working as team lead for the PPPI module with a high level functionality/complexity, in a fully documented and validated industry with FDA and GMP principles strictly adhered to. This also included SAP interfacing to 2 real-time production process control systems (Honeywell) and a weighing system (Propack) via the SAP standard PI PCS interface. Responsibilities included:

Koen was a Consultant at Akzo Nobel Surface Chemistry in Europe during their SAP 4.6 implementation. He worked in the PP, MM area with tight QM integration in those modules. Responsibilities included:

Koen consulted full-time for Dulux Orica in a highly customized PP/PI environment within a complex framework of interfaces, eg. Automated filling lines, Ariba. He was also responsible for some support in this area, including; planning eg. Forecasting and MRP, and execution, ie. Shopfloor.

Koen functioned as a member of the Business Management Systems department where one or more specialists are responsible for a particular SAP module. Koen worked in the Plant Maintenance (PM) and Quality (QM) area performing some user support, generation and maintenance of custom ABAP programs and reports.

Koen moved to the production planning implementation project at one of the Alusaf plants (Bayside) and worked for approximately four months before joining the production planning implementation team at Alusaf Hillside. Involvement in the Hillside PP project included the following:

Configuration (IMG) and prototyping.

Utilised ASAP to a great extent to define a business blueprint and generate other relevant project documentation.

Koen was responsible for the design and development of the ALTRAC Control Station

software.This product functions as a base station and customer interface for a vehicle fleet satellite tracking information system. Responsibilities included:

Development and commissioning of the software and some aspects of integration between the hard-and-software.

Control and coordination of relevant contract workers

Liaising with customers to determine additional requirements and oversee/perform training of customers.
