RESEARCH & LABORATORY EXPERIENCE
Consultant 2018-2019
Brigham Young University
Programmed and ran simulations of ion motion in an FT-ICR cell with two background gas collision models in preparation for a grant proposal using SIMION 8.0. Trained graduate students in programming SIMION simulations. Research Assistant 2011-2017
Brigham Young University
Designed three custom toroidal ion trap mass
spectrometers, simulated ion motion in three existing toroidal ion trap designs, compared performance of toroidal ion traps with simulations, determined optimized geometry of toroidal ion traps by comparing simulations of 36 variations of electrode shapes. Presented research at four conferences on mass spectrometry.
Water Lab Analyst 2010-2011
Southern Utah University
Receive water samples and performed standard chemical and biological tests. Analyzed samples for six different tests and reported results.
PROFILE
Looking to utilize analytical chemistry skills
including mass spectrometry.
