Duties involved OSHA compliance, Worker Compensation laws and record keeping, purchasing, financing, credit approval and collections and the direct supervision of a three-branch operation.
Established a brand-new business from the ground floor up and grew it to a $2.0MM company with an aggressive marketing approach within a three-county rural area. Handled Workers Compensation injuries and treatment, record keeping and unemployment hearing claims, telemarketing calls, sales and customer service. Emphasized job safety and enjoyed a loss ratio of less than $1,000 in Worker Compensation claims in 1999, diligently monitoring safety practices and conducting on-site investigations along with walk-through tours. Set up a goodwill program for TQS employees on restricted Worker Compensation light duty to provide their services within the community at NO cost, resulting in a “no loss time” program.
Established a 6-year continuing partnership with the Wawasee High School Economics instructor to teach a unit on “What it takes to Succeed in Today’s Job Market.”
