Transformed IT organization by moving to an enterprise Agile/Lean method across all teams creating

$30M per year in financial capacity as a result of reducing spans and layers, moving to a product funded model, simplifying the talent structure and accelerating delivery from 300+ days to value to under 90 days to value. This included decentralization of IT making technology units get closer to the business.

Member of the 5-person team that lead the acquisition of FinTech startup LearnVest. This was a platform acquisition and this platform was re-written in 9 months and fully deployed to clients and advisors leading to 300% growth in adoption and 9-point increase in Net Promoter Score.

Delivered over $107 million in annual savings in the Claims process by leading a newly formed Claims transformation program. The program had a 17-month payback period.

Developed virtual workforce strategy which identifies savings of over $25 million per year with a one-year payback. The strategy called for 40% virtual workforce leading to a more collaborative work style with tools and change management to enable Safeco to save costs in real estate, travel, and other expense.

Formed cross functional team to identify over $40 million per year in savings through the deployment of enterprise content management solutions with payback in less than 18 months. Increased small commercial insurance revenue by $200 million by creating the policy administration, actuarial and product management e-Business strategy. This led to the solution development, architecture blueprints and eventual deployment of CNA Connect TM.

Decreased IT costs $20 million annually by streamlining number of technologies deployed at CNA from over 2,000 standards to less than 500. Evaluated and selected over 300 technologies to be set as enterprise standards. An additional $13M of savings captured through Vendor Management.

Cut IT costs $13 million annually by reducing production applications from 1,200 to 800 over 3 years through application portfolio rationalization, consolidation, and retirement.
