ACADEMIC ASSIGNMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Position: Physician Assistant Coordinator, SUNY Downstate Medical Center, STAR Program [Start date: 10/6/2016]
o In Collaboration with the HIV Center faculty, create and refine curriculum for HIV Track PA students.
o In collaboration with HIV and CHRP PA Program faculty, integrate HIV education in to PA Program curricula.
o Participate in the development of marketing materials for the HIV track. o Work in partnership with PA program to integrate student didactic and clinical training schedules for the HIV Specialist track.
o Participate in required HRSA grant reporting and documentation in collaboration with the HIV Education Director.
o Develop schedule for HIV track PA students for Junior and Senior years. o In collaboration with SHC clinician staff, provide clinical preceptorship for junior HIV track PA students and help organize and coordinate HIV Primary Care clerkships. o Participate in the creation of HIV track specific evaluation components (for students and program).
o Provide direct HIV patient care (2 sessions per week) in the Star Health Center (SHC).
Under the supervision for the SHC Medical Director, provide continuity of care for a panel of HIV patients.
Demonstrate patient care skills, medical knowledge, interpersonal skills and communication skill, and professionalism requisite for HIV Specialist Physician Assistant.
