CAREER HISTORY

BOSCH (Sia Abrasives) October 2014-Present. National Sales Manager Automotive, Coatings

and Composites. Responsible for introducing Sia Abrasives to the automotive, aerospace and marine

markets in the US Build the Sia brand, develop and implement the sales strategy and develop and manage a distributor network. Hire, lead, train, manage and terminate if necessary independent Rep Agencies. Make joint sales calls with agency and distributor reps. Work with Marketing and manufacturing to bring needed products to market in the U.S. Work with marketing, logistics and production to forecast product volumes and inventory needs.

Selected Accomplishments:

* Added National Distributors. Sherwin-Williams, Single Source and BMW North America

* Increased sales over $2M in first 3 years and Gross Margin by 6 points

* Added new OEM business. Sold VW plant in Chattanooga and Donzi Yachts as new OEM accounts.

Transtar November 2012-October 2014. Regional Sales Manager, Responsible for distribution

sales through jobbers and wholesalers. Direct, train, coach and mentor sales and technical

representatives. $27M budget. Transtar is a manufacturer and distributor of paint and

coatings, sealants and adhesives for the automotive industry.

Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes, May 2002- November 2012. District Sales Manager, Responsible

for direct/distribution sales through jobbers and wholesalers, as well as profit growth and all

branch operations for NC district. Direct, train, coach and mentor sales and technical

representatives and branch operations managers. $14M budget. Sherwin-Williams is an industry leader

and manufacturer of paints and coatings.

Selected Accomplishments:

* Turned around floundering district, increasing sales 25%. NC district lost several large

accounts and was losing money. Held sales reps accountable and helped them target accounts.

Touted product quality and value-add. Sales grew 20%+ first year and 25%+ second year, most

accounts returned and district became profitable.

* Recouped lost business, boosting sales 400% and profits 600%. Greensboro branch lost most its

collision shop business. Replaced underperforming sales rep with one more aggressive. Expanded

into other market segments. Landed $1M+ account. Improved operating efficiency. Reduced costs

and inventory.

* Increased sales five-fold, catapulting branch from 140th to 5th. Sales in Raleigh market had

been floundering for many years. Replaced sales rep. More clearly defined market segmentation

and new business development. Increased sales over 400%. Raleigh Branch is one of largest

volume branches in company.

* Branch consolidation yields ten-fold jump in profits first year. Winston-Salem branch was

underperforming. Added new Sales Rep. Relocated operations to Greensboro location, gaining

economies of scale. Winston-Salem market improved and Greensboro branch is one of highest

volume and most profitable branches in company.

* Master Council Winner for Sales Excellence

Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes, September 1997-May 2002. Area Sales Manager, Lead sales and

profit growth of South Florida area. Developed and managed accounts, negotiated contracts. Lead,

Directed, trained and mentored sales and technical representatives and branch operations managers.

Selected Accomplishments:

* Opened and led new branch to be one of largest in company. Sherwin-Williams lacked

distribution in Ft Lauderdale, FL, one of top 50 markets in U.S. Obtained approval to open new

branch there. Recruited, hired and trained sales reps. Added $600K+ in new business first year

and $1M+ in year two.

* Lead sales team to increase sales in Palm Beach County by 100% in the first 18 months.

* Master Council Winner for Sales Excellence

Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes, April 1994-September 1997. Branch Sales Manager, Managed sales

and profit growth of Miami Area. Developed and managed accounts, negotiated contracts. Oversaw and

integrated acquisition of competitive distributor, achieving 80% conversion of products (unheard of

in industry). Lead, Directed, trained, coached, hired and mentored sales and technical

representatives and branch operations managers.

Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes, January 1989- April 1994. Sales Representative, New

Rejuvenated underperforming territory on 350% sales increase. Territory had been underperforming for

years. Built strong relationships with new and old clients. Became expert in market. Utilized

consultative sales approach to help customers become more profitable. Won Finishers Club Award for

Sales Excellence four years running.
